Python is free. Did you look it up? According to everywhere on the internet, Python is very free. According to me, Python is easy to use, easy to program, and is the best for projects like IRC bots.

Hi, we've met.
If you want to learn assembly, you MUST learn another language. It is difficult if not impossible to learn assembly as a first or second language. For starters, you should try learning python, ruby, lua, or any language in which you can learn the concepts. I'd then recommend learning axe, which is fast like assembly but is much easier to learn and can help teach assembly. Another thing you should do is READ AND FOLLOW THIS POST. WE ARE TRYING TO HELP YOU LEARN.

Can you post a picture of it? I think I have seen something like that if I push on my screen too hard but I hope nothing is pushing on yours that hard. Make sure it has its cover on and try not to put too much pressure on it.

Not that I'm aware of. I just did some googling around and found that the Japanese versions of red, green, and blue are 512kb, which should fit on the 84+. if you happen to own the Japanese version and know Japanese, I suppose that would work.

As long as the game is small enough it will work on either version of the 84+. I don't think any of the Pokemon games are small enough though.

something funny happened with my overclocked calc:
it would only display the letter W in the middle of the screen and never worked again.

If you enable the on-interrupt and low-power mode in port 03 ( http://wikiti.brandonw.net/index.php?title=83Plus:Ports:03), if you execute a halt instruction and set up an interrupt (in IM 2), you can set the interrupt to do whatever you need to do. This is probably easier in assembly and there might be a better way to do it in axe.

I suggest that if you are looking for how to use the USB pins, you could also use one of the CX docks which have USB hubs in them. Unfortunately I have neither that nor a lab cradle nor a broken calc,

I have tried and failed to connect a USB port to the base of the calculator and I'm not sure why it didn't work. I wonder if the circuitry is necessary, because I didn't have any of those. Iirc, that graphic thing was from one of the lab cradle circuits or something and so might be able to be used the same way.

I think to qualify as a quine, a program cannot read its own source. But this whole thing is really cool. I should play around with the new program-editing features. I feel like they could make user keys more powerful possibly.

And yes, the Nspire can charge via the dock as shown by the mutli calc docking station. I have no idea how it works though.
The longest pin on the connector is ground, and the second longest is power. It's that easy.

It would also be good to figure out how that dock works because I don't think anyone figured it out yet. Also could you make this like a slide case which fits over the calc? that way it would be easy to carry with the calc.

Yes, I'd get one! You should also attach the power pins on the nspire to the power pins of the USB so you don't have to plug in the nspire while working on it. Will it be compatible with the b/w models?
