Casio Calculators / Re: Getting started in Casio-Basic? You can ask here.
« on: January 18, 2011, 07:02:41 pm »
My suggestion for all Casio people is: Don't buy the Prizm and migrate to TI - they have better BASIC! :w00t:
True, but hopefully once it is fully hacked, we can do better with the color screen.

Really? Some people told me 3rd-party add-ins such as Kucalc's overclocking program did not work in it, same for that raycaster someone (him?) wrote a few years ago.
Programs doing direct hardware access are most likely going to crash.
Not really. I do almost all of my z80 asm programming without the use of any system calls. It's kinda my philosphy. Pure z80 code without a hint of TiOS. Plus it"s a lot faster too.

Directly accessing the hardware will probably crash an emulator :P
That also depends on the emulator.  A good emulator will emulate the hardware exactly.  This helps debug qwirks and such that the device has.

I would also do A from 0-3, not 1-4.  Also, {C+A} I believe would be more accurate as you are getting the byte at location C+A.

And will work on pretty much any OS.  I used system calls a lot for debugging, until I learned that you could use a spare ram page and log stuff.

That seems more rational than the other things we were getting I'm very tempted to believe it.
could I see your code to check it so I can see if your right?
Sure, but don't expect it to be readable or nice and tidy.  I just barely got it working, so I'm not entirely believing my answer although it should be fairly simple to check:

I would write a program to do it for me if I was you guys.
Which is exactly what I did, and I got:
110.1021111111111111111

So the fifth digit is 1.

Um, no. Definitely me.  How about we compromise and say #1 fan(s). ;-)

Thanks :)
I suppose it isn't to the point of disgust, but I still don't seem to have as much success as I'd like.
Yeah, we all don't.

Oh, I've seen the unixkcd source before, but I'm not able to see it from my phone.  Could you do me the favor of putting the beautified code in a spoiler, seeing as it may be quite a while before I can see it?

KnightOS / Re: KnightOS

I project stuff because I have a good sense of how much needs to be done for things, and how long they'll take me to do.  I get a realistic estimate, then add 5 days as a buffer.
And I'm grounded from "personal computer use."
I see.  Good luck, then.  If you need anything, remember who KOS #1 fan is. ;-)

That's actually pretty nice.  I like this one from Code Geass R2 opening 1: (Yes, it is flipped)

I can't read it all, but Xeda, it's unfair, you're half a maths teacher XD
See, in actuality, it's a bunch of math work to make fun of the non-math people. j/k

Impressive work as always Xeda.

graphmastur, you will now share all knowledge you have on the subject, or face my wrath.
lol, figure it out. I'll give you a hint.  You must see the source for uni.xkcd.com, and your scouter must be broken, since obviously the konami code is broken as well.

lol, that's both really sad, and kinda funny.  I doubt you would really disgust females, though. ;-) It's all good bro.

KnightOS / Re: KnightOS

Hey guys.
Sorry to continuously disappoint, but I may have to push this back again.  I'm grounded once more.  I'll try to sort this out quickly, but if I can't, then I will release the developer preview 15 days from when I am no longer grounded.  I cannot work on KnightOS outside of a very specific environment.  However, I can work on tiDE in many environments, and if that progresses fast enough, I will start using it for development, as it will run portably.
I'm definitely not gonna ask what you did (however curious I am), but how on earth can you project stuff so accurately?  Also, I assume you are only grounded from calcs?
