I just realized, I don't know if safari has an ad blocker. I know it has a pop-up blocker. Hm... Google time.

I wouldn't invite anyone simply because I don't link my real life and this account much.
Does that includes calculator programmers? You could maybe not tell them you post there much if that's the case or ask them to not reveal your personal info on the site (if that happens there's always the report button, anyway). I'm personally not paranoid about revealing some stuff online, but I would not like if someone posted my phone number/home address in public.
I don't really know of any calc programers. I know the one who told me about programming, but he wouldn't care about TI programming anymore.
Ah ok I see.

For odd reasons, i notice that a bunch of Omni members learned calc programming from another person or got interested after another person showed them, yet the other person is always the one that loses interest first. O.O
Well, technically, I programmed calcs, and found out he did also. He then graduated. But he showed me a computer programming language (java). He then graduated, so I don't really keep in touch.

Yeah I wonder if he planned to join the forums too. I also can't wait until Xeda returns
Seriously. I have some more math stuff that I want to talk about! Do we have a math sub-forum? We need to.

@Quigibo: I don't fully understand the concept behind what you are doing. Can you explain it?

However there's a limit, though: I'm not going to stop saying Happy holidays on the site or you lost the game just because one single person hates this. If we have to restrict all of our activities because each person dislikes parts of them, it's gonna be boring and even worse with the lack of freedom. But basically, we just need to remind ourselves that everyone is different.

Agreed.  If one person named Bob hates the phrase "Happy Holidays," he's not going to be able to stop people from saying it.  The point is, it's not a good idea to say "Hey Bob, Happy Holidays to you!"
Yeah. I say merry Christmas fully knowing that it has the word "Christ" in it. But they aren't going to die if they hear it. Now if they say, "please don't say that to me", I shouldn't say it over and over again.

One confusing optimization that programs like these use though is to remove the multiplication in the main loop and replace it with an addition.
How exactly would you do that with addition?

As a poor example, I know that I do not liked hearing the work F**K for instance.  Now, if there were two friends using that word all the time, and I am not involved in the conversation, I shouldn't try to stop it.  It's none of my business.  But I would leave the website if people pointed that word at me all the time

I think that's right, but I think we should try to stop things that are really too offensive.
Yeah, I think overall, it's wise to not cuss on the site. It puts on a bad image if we do.

so in for a car on a straight road, how would you figure out how the road shows up on a screen?

me too!  ;)
You would essentially pick a point on the road away from you, and draw a line from your "eye" through the screen to where the point on the road is.  The distance between your eye and the screen (d1), and the distance between your eye and the point on the road (technically the point above the road that is directly in line with the first line (the one that makes d1) is what you would use instead of the point itself) This is d2.  You would then compare the height from the point on the ground to the point in the air that is eye-level.  This is r2.  So d1/d2=r1/r2.  Since r1 is what we need to find, (r2 * d1)/d2 = r1.  That is the point on the screen.

It's not available anywhere you can access at the moment (without a lot of hacking). That's the main reason I want to get my site up and running.
Okay, where is your site being hosted?
