I just realized, I don't know if safari has an ad blocker. I know it has a pop-up blocker. Hm... Google time.

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Using common sense when Inviting IRL people on Omnimaga« on: December 25, 2010, 09:42:27 pm »Well, technically, I programmed calcs, and found out he did also. He then graduated. But he showed me a computer programming language (java). He then graduated, so I don't really keep in touch.Ah ok I see.I don't really know of any calc programers. I know the one who told me about programming, but he wouldn't care about TI programming anymore.I wouldn't invite anyone simply because I don't link my real life and this account much.Does that includes calculator programmers? You could maybe not tell them you post there much if that's the case or ask them to not reveal your personal info on the site (if that happens there's always the report button, anyway). I'm personally not paranoid about revealing some stuff online, but I would not like if someone posted my phone number/home address in public. 1428

Miscellaneous / Re: A reminder -- Showing respect for that one person« on: December 25, 2010, 07:18:53 pm »Yeah. I say merry Christmas fully knowing that it has the word "Christ" in it. But they aren't going to die if they hear it. Now if they say, "please don't say that to me", I shouldn't say it over and over again. However there's a limit, though: I'm not going to stop saying Happy holidays on the site or you lost the game just because one single person hates this. If we have to restrict all of our activities because each person dislikes parts of them, it's gonna be boring and even worse with the lack of freedom. But basically, we just need to remind ourselves that everyone is different. 1432

General Calculator Help / Re: [Help please] Mode 7.« on: December 25, 2010, 06:48:50 pm »so in for a car on a straight road, how would you figure out how the road shows up on a screen? You would essentially pick a point on the road away from you, and draw a line from your "eye" through the screen to where the point on the road is. The distance between your eye and the screen (d1), and the distance between your eye and the point on the road (technically the point above the road that is directly in line with the first line (the one that makes d1) is what you would use instead of the point itself) This is d2. You would then compare the height from the point on the ground to the point in the air that is eye-level. This is r2. So d1/d2=r1/r2. Since r1 is what we need to find, (r2 * d1)/d2 = r1. That is the point on the screen. 1437
