No, it's possible. I seem to remember an article about a device that constantly erased the flash chip over and over. I do believe that it failed after a few million writes. I don't believe the average user has any reason to worry about this.

That's why.  If A=-5, then in unsigned eight bit, that is 133. (I think).

Meaning that a becomes 4.

Yeah, otherwise it wouldn't be fair. So, has quigibo decided who he will release the beta to yet?

I have a ti-84+se, and don't mind undergoing any crashes. Also, my projected app size is fairly large. The only reason I could possibly see multiple page use is for map data or text for individual sections that are copied to an appvar for the actual level.  Other than that, multiple pages would just slow it down, so I don't think it should be added just yet. Since you got rid of setupeditor, we could use that for multiple page use. Eg. Setupeditor 2, for page 2.

Btw, I seriously want to help you test it!

My username is from two parts:

Graph+Mastur.  The graph is obvious.  It's to always remind me of my roots as a TI Programmer.  Mastur comes from master, as I am the best! jk, but seriously, I thought I was pretty good at the time.  So anyway, the reason I changed the e to a u is a secret. ;-)

Yeah, it's totally fine. Getting upset with decisions is easy. Finding out why and understanding that decision is hard.

It's all better now, though!

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Axe Without Token Hook
« on: June 17, 2010, 06:22:39 pm »
I don't think there should be a converter or anything.  If we are going to do this, then there are two things we must all agree too.

1.  No more of these changes.  The next set must be final.  (Shouldn't be that bad if we can use custom names)
2.  We have to phase out the old code.  That means getting rid of all of the old sub forums.  However, If the complete guide to axe is finished, and we have no more mind-blowing changes, then we would eliminate quite a bit of the need for questions.

Does anyone agree?  Is there anything else?

Personally, I believe that if Axe can change the catalog to the custom names in the right order, and get that to work, not to mention having the tokens be correct in the program, then I am okay with it.  Any thoughts on this?

Hmm... Why not store the data as an archived appvar or something.  It shouldn't be hard to whip up a java app to convert it.  Can someone explain this signing thing better?  I know about RSA, but is it done on every byte, or the whole app?  I presume that if it was byte by byte, this would be a simple look up table problem, so I'm guessing that's not it.  If it's RSA, and the actual signing process was explained slightly better, I'm sure the app could sign it as well.  I wouldn't mind waiting ten minutes as long as it had a progress bar.  I really dislike the applications that do a process for 5 minutes with nothing to show for it but a blank screen.

Anyway... We could split it up into 4 appvars, each with 4096 bytes.  I bet you could do that in axe, too.  When is the app exporting version expected?

Why are the blocking calc sites?  It makes no sense.

No, they just threatened to destroy my calculator if I didn't tell them.

Oh yeah, IE gives problems.  Umm... It looks as if e.button is null.  In the mouse.js that is.
