Miscellaneous / Re: Nobody knows everything

For example, saying "I'm surprised you made this topic." Is a good way to demonstrate... wait, no, I really am surprised.  In fact, I'm surprised this is actually even a problem.

I guess the basic rule is, to always think over what you are going to say.

Math and Science / Re: New RSA Algorithm discussion
« on: August 15, 2011, 06:22:29 pm »
Right now, directly modifying it is impossible.  It is also not within this discussion's range, as this is about generally breaking RSA, not necessarily the nSpire's RSA.  Although, of course, it would be immediately applied to that.

Anyway, let me say this, since I have seen this question posed several times, and asked it several times myself before I knew completely about it.

There is currently no non-mathematical way of discovering the private keys

That is all. :D  Well, actually, that's a lie. TI has them, but we don't advocate... retrieving... them.

But yeah, this is in the Math and Science sub-forum, so really should be pertaining to it.  There is this which is about bypassing the RSA signatures.

You can also modify what page you want to use, IIRC.

Indeed, unfortunately, nothing new here.  I have no new ideas about this right now either, unfortunately.

Humour and Jokes / Re: Epicly Failing Contest

I made a replica of the latest i7 processor with vacuum tubes.
I'm sorry, apparently some people are too awesome to fail, or I don't know what failing is, but if you made an i7 out of vacuum tubes, and it worked, then that would be some epic win.

It looks like you're trying to access something improperly. First of all, you should check that your types are all in order. Also, make sure that you have something in the clipboard beforehand to test it with. Some systems respond differently when the clipboard is empty.

EDIT: Graphmastur is right.
and graphmastur is a ninja!

your problem is that the applet is in a sandboxed environment.

Look here right under where it says "Unsigned applets cannot perform the following operations:"

Also, check out this page for common applet problems.

It's depressing too, when you develop the best looking website ever, load it on IE, go to your boss, and say "yeah, I need to extend the deadline by a few months... wait, make that years."

Computer Programming / Re: toString method not found?
« on: August 08, 2011, 12:59:58 pm »
Okay, read the error again, just don't look over it again.  It's not saying it didn't find any toString method, it just didn't find one that took javax.swing.JTextField as a parameter, which apparently number is.

What is it telling you console-wise.  For me, it's not initializing the applet, which tells me either your html file to call the applet is wrong, or your initialization routine is wrong.

I wonder if it'd be usable with the calculator's 5th battery?
