i also noticed that when i turn it "on" the green lights indicating it does something flash on for about 1/4 of a second
Yeah, it's not complaining that there's is no ram, it must be dead.

I haven't a clue what RNG is...
*light bulb turns on*
Oh, wait, that's Random Number Generator, isn't it?
Quite right!  Although now that I think about it, the secure one would be kinda cool, too.

Like what?

(I can't quite understand what you're saying for some reason, either)
Calculus.  For example, I can find the antiderivative in my head, yet I get horribly confused and wrong when I show the steps.

Easy.
Remove the RAM from the computer, then replace it back in the computer.
tried that..
no difference :(
Did it beep at you when you completely removed the ram?

personal injury? D: I didnt realize that ndless was that dangerous!
TI has a valid point there about personal injury--messing with electronics does carry the risk of electric shock, which can potentially result in cardiac arrest and death.

Why do you think teachers ask students to show their work nowadays? As long as you can show how you got from point A to point B and understand what you did, it shouldn't matter whether or not you used a calculator program. But that's just my opinion.
True, but there are a bunch of problems in which I cannot go through the steps or else I'll get it horribly wrong.

1263: You strongly believe that this forum will save the world after at 2012 XD
1266: You used your calc to prove that 2012 never happened.  I say happened, because you also use it as a time machine.

Take out ALL of the ram, and turn it on and see if it beeps at you.
I don't think it'll even turn on?

Speaking of RAM, physically resetting the RAM might work.
It won't turn on, it should beep at you.  At least then you know it's somewhat alive.

I would not send it back.  Think of what all we could use this for.  We could test USB from boot1!

Do you think I'm stupid enough to pay in order to get a less interesting Nspire ? :P

Even if they wanted to pay, I would not send it back to them.
Yes. :D  j/k

So, what are they plans for this DevSpire?

I'd say it's time for a well deserved break DJ.

Enjoy some time off and let your batteries recharge a bit. Heck... we all need that from time to time. :)

I couldn't agree more.

Also, why did his name change to DJ_O?
So People wouldn't see "Omnimaga" in his name, and be like "Oh, hey, there's an admin."

1218: You read IRC logs in your spare time.
1256: You read IRC logs even when it's not your spare time.
1257: You have spare time? Programmers shouldn't have "spare time".

That ^ would be more difficult, but plausible.  You would have to have a hardware flasher to flash the chip, though, correct?

You'll have to program the TI-84+ 1.00 or 1.02 boot code image in the NAND.

By the way, how does the TI-84+ OS detect the NAND capacity?
I believe through one of the ports.  Which one though, I'm not sure.
