I always liked that method too :) rather fast and a bit quicker to code.  Right now my challenge is getting it to smoothscroll with the character moving fotwards-backwards nearer to the edge.

Also, I guess I didn't explain what is in version 1.0:

-Sports announcer after each round
-instant replay letting you look at the last 20 frames before the last score
-A decent title screen, options screen, and info screen
-you can actually win the game now (takes ten scores)
-fixed a few bugs
-etc.

the replay is the coolest though :)

How do you have the replay coded?  Is it 20 767byte pieces of memory?  (happybobjr hopes not)

WOAHAHAH This looks pretty cool, my Wii is not homebrewed, so I don't know if I can try it.

Do you want help?  I would be glad to.
One thing that is really cool about wii homebrew community is that when someone posted a program to play wii games free, the guy got shot down for Illegal downloads and whatnot.

Side note: There is a wabbit emu for the ds.  How about for the wii?

I won't add scrolling edges to this game, but I'm saving that for my ball "Toy" game, which features a gigantic world to play around with a ball in :)

sounds similar to what I was messing around with today.  I am having fun learning about tile mapping.  The way i do it is to have the world scroll and the character will stay in one place :)

looks great.

Does the latest edition have the multiplayer part in it?
Is it compiled?
I looked over it and would enjoy messing with the code.

Sounds great.
As a side note, have you considered scrolling edges?  or would that take to much memory?

Hmm, I was under the inpression that all the questions have been answered, and that we were just waiting for an update for linking.

Or at least that was how I felt.
I would love to help with the linking if you need me too.

try http://www.piriform.com/recuva
I tried putting this on my SD card in order to take a few screenshots, but the whole card deformatted itself or something. D:

R.I.P. every single homebrew save file I had
and I have to download all my official games again too, which takes hours D:

It's probably not WFRNG's fault... Let's blame Windows. It said that a CRC was wrong.

you had official games?

There are a lot of people who are REALLY opposed to swearing. I think PUBLICLY saying NO SWEARING would be a turnoff, however a more private, "please try to keep the swearing down" (via PM for example) would work. It doesn't hurt to not swear. It is just bad to try to LIMIT peoples' freedoms.
that is what i was trying to convey. Thank you.

1337  or leet is a numberized language and is short for eleet.  (bad speling :P)
@= A; 1=l  ; \/\/ =W; /\/ = N  and so on.  :)

6. Spoilers-  Spoilers are fun and convenient. they will take a large amount of space and compress it down two about two lines.  There is a problem however.  Internet explore can not open them.  Most of us prefer not to use IE but most school computers do.
solution 1- Do not use a spoiler if you are only using it to compress text.  If you are, try using
...
This is many times bigger, but IE users will be happy.
Solution 2- Quote.  The quote function will allow you to copy a post verbatum.  this will allow you to read the raw text even if inside a spoiler.  (maybe have a topic area to view spoiled posts with the spoiler removed then delete the post when done?)

Miscellaneous / Some thoughts about Omnimaga.
« on: February 08, 2011, 10:02:52 pm »
Just some thoughts.

1.  Swearing- I have noticed that there has been a large increasing in swearing lately.  I feel that it may dissuade younger people from joining/staying in this site.
Solution- Have less swearing or Write part or all of the word in 1337.
Example- @55

2.  We need an FAQ- When I first joined I had so many questions that it was pretty much spam.  I tried googling and searching and failed to find what I was looking for because I didn't know the context.  Over my stay here I have seen many people ask the same questions and that just adds unnecessary topixs.
Solution- Have a FAQ of the things that are general knowledge to Omnimaga but things outsiders wouldn't know.
Example- “I heard you can attach things too your usb port on the calc but when I use the search ‘Usb’ it says search is too short"

3.  Terms- Kind of like FAQ except for terms.  I am talking more about abbreviations than terms.
Solution- just create a nice topic.
Example-   TWHG = The World's Hardest Game or RFG = Removed From the Game; an image uploader.

4.  No name- When asking for help, people allot of times stare at their screens continuously screens until a reply is made.  Sometimes however, people are unable to help in any way, so no replies are made.  I think in a help requesting topic, people should have polls.  "1. I can't help.   2. 'Just left blank'“ This way you have better choices made ;).

5.  Smilies- Having smilies are really great in conveying the way you are trying to come across.  Don't be afraid to use them  :)
Warning- Keep smily usage nice.  Don't use  :evillaugh:  to just laugh at someone.

6. Spoilers-  Spoilers are fun and convenient. they will take a large amount of space and compress it down two about two lines.  There is a problem however.  Internet explore can not open them.  Most of us prefer not to use IE but most school computers do.

At first, I thought you were someone impersonating you. (opps. I really worded that poorly)

I'm talking about stuff like "the merits of doing the doggy style over the missionary position" type of thing.
like....?
lol jk.
Please don't as we don't want to drive away younger members.

My teachers can surprise me with all the school gossip they know.
Also after i sucked up to a couple of my teachers (telling them how to avoid/strengthen parts of school internet/computer security)
