TI Z80 / Variable scanner
« on: January 16, 2011, 05:07:43 pm »
Here is a quick variable scanner i made today.
The code for choosing what program you want to scan was completely done by Builderboy.

Black means the variable was used.
Gray means that the variable was inside an axe comment.
Regular means unused

axscan3= not compiled
Varscan = compiled for ion

Note: I know there are still tons of problems.

I am over them.  On my 6th reinstall of it, I decided to plug in my calc to do the driver instillation as ti-connect was installing. It worked :P

here is the source code i have for analyzing what variables have been used. (does not check if it's a comment or not.  does check strings though)

the compiled is only about 800 bytes too.

I hope this goes well, good luck

Yeah that isn't too legit x.x. If happybobjr doesn't mind, though, then oh well.

considering the game wasn't great in the first place ;)
I will beposting an update if i ever understand how to download ti-connect. :banghead:

I've just had a new idea of a simple program that counts the variables used in the source code of an Axe program and returns which are used and which can still be used.

This would be really useful!

EDIT: lmao no one cares :P

axscan2 is non-compiled
scan is compiled for ion

It scans prgmTEST

Notes:
* Darkened means variables have been used.
* Only 700 bytes
* Take it and make it better, i am done.  No credit needed
* I would appreciate someone doing what Builderboy did with auto optimizer.  making it able to chose what program.
* Blank programs say that every variable is used :P

it can be optimised quite a bit.

Could u copy that to word.
ctrl F
find & replace
ΓΌ  to ->
3/4 list to Data
pxl-Tes  to pxl-Test(

and so on.
It would make it easier for everyone.

I might take that up.

I wouldn't mind helping with a plot, as long as i don't get credit for helping.
I can't draw though

Edit: "don't" was intentional

He edited the read me at the bottom denying the he has created the game too.
other than not telling me he had done it, he gave credit quite well
