I don't mind IMHO. If he were to take it up as a project he might be able to make it fun. He changed some things that i really liked (I liked the changes, not i liked the things he changed... I hate my poor grammer and me spelling)
he made cheat mode remove points. He made it so when you run out of amo, a new clip in inserted (at a price)
oh well. No I did not give him permission. I talked to him. He seemed sorry for not asking. Happybobjr said all is well and no hard feelings. Happybobjr then gives him permission.
It was strange seeing it appear. I am kinda glad to i never posted my updated version as it was too bulky. He is trying to learn axe by looking at the code

I had been tweaking it a bit for some time and wasn't originally going to upload it, but on a spur of the moment thing did and realized today I probably should have asked permission. As you may have saw, I tried to give as much credit as possible to you since it really was you who made the game. It you want me to change anything or want to merge my tweaks into your recent version I would happy to help in anyway
Thanks again for making such a great program, Steven Ryan

I'll admit, the zooming function at the moment is just your cheat mode with the ability to shoot turned off. I plan on making in three levels of zoom once my Axe knowledge becomes better: Zoomed in all the way, partially zoomed in, and not zoomed at all. Hitting the target would count for less points in partially zoomed mode. I would be happy to stay in contact. Right now the only things I'm planning on adding are the aforementioned zooming and better reloading, such as setting manual reloading instead of automatic. I just happened upon your game on ticalc and saw it was written in Axe and figured I would try it out. I was impressed with it and wanted to fix the limits I saw. Personally, I think optimization should be worried about either after features are finished or if the game becomes to slow down too much.
full quality music is completely possible. (although about 25 sec. uses all your memory at full quality
I adapted JimE's version of MSD8x once to allow you to play wav files from a flash drive. I used to rock out all the time with a flash drive sticking out of my calculator.
Wow, well he should have definitely asked for your permission, but its cool how you two are working together to polish it up On a related note, if you were sick of scrolling through so much code, there is a way to split it up into multiple subprograms, which can make everything significantly more manageable
wE AREN'T WORKING TOGETHER. hE IS WORKING ON IT HIMSELF. hE IS just coming to me when he gets confused.
Ya, i saw that. You know its different because of 202 He didn't warn me at all about this, but i have emailed him and we are now in contact. No hard feelings. He said zoom was added. that confused me. I looked at it and there was no zoom...
I got sick of scrolling through so much data when i made the game so big that i gave up the project. But it seems as if he is trying to polish it up . I am trying to help him along.
Oh well. It was a shock for me this morning when i got on
Suggestions: make it restart after each game, add options to change the speed (change the argument of the mod in the draw test), keep score.
OMG someone has played it! Thank you so much. My original plan was to make an app of many 2 player games These include *Calc of duty ( Finished but not polished) *Tron (almost done, but i haven't had the opportunity to do an on calc test. Also needs polishing) *Tanks ( Started, I have a ton of info on two diff calcs Frustrated today and might quit this one) *Calc-Foo -Idea: one on one fighting game. (looks really easy but byte consuming) *Mario -Idea: Classic mode of Mario (also looks extremely easy. 2 player co-op game)
I will make the updates you requested however and send it to you when i get to test it. I have decided to quit my mode 7 version of tron. It doesn't have any real problems. I just am to lazy to sort out variables to get them all in. (also borrowing code which i dislike doing)
I compiled it with Axe 0.4.8, I press 'ENTER' at start but nothing happens :S
Do you have two calcs? Both calcs must be plugged in and have the program running before enter is pressed on either calc. once this is done, and both calcs have pressed enter, the game will begin.
These are all very good questions you have about the TI-84 Plus and TI-83 Plus family calculators. Let me check with the calculator developers and I will let you know what I find out.
The developers have up to (48) hours to respond so as soon as I hear back from them, I will let you know.
Please reply to this e-mail so I can follow up with you.
