I would vote for alpha-lock combo.  It lessens the keys you have to look through .

Maybe do ti-Basic's "DelVar"  but have it so you can remove more than one at a time.

Ti-basic.

delvar A
delvar g
devar x
delvar z

Ot-basic.

delvar a,g,x,z

TI-BASIC / Re: Why never to use Goto.
« on: August 10, 2010, 04:58:08 pm »
There's one trick to reduce the slow down caused by Gotos in games. The trick is to put the game main menu at the complete bottom of the code. Start the program with Goto 0, which goes to the menu, and after Goto 0, the game engine and stuff should be there.

interesting, i will do that :)

Sadly, those memory leaks were not documented very well back in the days and tutorials on which it was were hard to find, so if you play stuff like Illusiat 11 or 12 or even ROL2, I suggest that you save often, else you can end up with ERR:MEMORY. Just to say how badly documented it was back then, FFTOM series have the game quit completly and tell the user to press ENTER to resume gameplay after exiting menus, before/after battles or even in the middle of battles.
Yep, I remember those days. The dark ages of TI-BASIC... :P It was odd, because alot of us knew about ERR:MEMORY occuring, we just had the damnedest time figuring out what the hell was causing it, many times which GOTO was the culprit. It's great that so many more things are documented these days and newbs starting out have access to so much good information. :)

it's heros like you guys that figured it out for our gen. :D

something screwing with interupts,

1. i have in my code "int(1,2)"
  I compile, says lbl missing.

2. I change my code and the point it points at to C

 Now i have "int(C,2)"
 i compile it, and works.
I run program, and ram clear... can't upload source right now due to broken usb ports :P

EDIT:opps i was still on 4.2

i use it when i am too lazy to rip apart the code and move something.   ie. interrupts.

OTcalc / Re: Let's build our own calculator!
« on: August 08, 2010, 09:38:59 am »
the problem is that we need an initial amount of money before we can do anything about making more than one. ie. shark tank.
the problem with this is that we will need to sell the calculators for more than 20 cents more than it takes to make them.
We will need some real investor's  but never let any one person invest enough to be part of the project.

I am all for the Pandora way.
but different.

Ok, everyperson who helps/invests will be part of the advertisement.  Each will get to own/buy/borrow an ot calc, and give it  to one of their math teachers for a year, requesting that they show it off to other teachers and students, and if kos is better than ti's, recommend it to students getting a new calc.

Remember, selling for the price to make will make a product live then die,
Now if you sell it for PtM plus part one of one more, the product will thrive.

i change my vote to D batteries with 50 :D.
