TI-Nspire / jens script editor+ nspaint merged
« on: January 03, 2014, 06:42:37 pm »
I today merged the jens script editor and nspaint

this will make editing on calc easier :P

the first two tabs are for jens editor and the mini api guide

tab 1.3 and 1.4 are for nspaint and nanima
new update for api 1 version: images with more than 3000 pixels can be created ;)

the programs in themselves are owned by their respective programmers.

You might want to be more clear on this. Your post is really vague. What type of program is to be made (Game, utility, etc.) What criteria is it going to be judged on? Also, I personally don't think it's a good idea to allow programs that are already in development. It's really hard to judge what % complete they are, and someone could easily just make up any number.

yes, read the last line art_of_ camelot

First of all:
Happy New Twenty Fourteen

Note 1: This contest is not in Omnimaga Staff's opinion ( in other words not official) and therefore Omnimaga Staff is not to be held responsible for any misunderstanding on the user's part.
Note 2: Read throughly once at least before starting

It has been a long time since the nSpire and its brothers came out. During this time, many languages have become available:
   •   Basic
   •   Assembly
   •   Lua
In the long run, Assembly and Lua have outrun Basic and left it far behind. Yet Assembly is not official for nSpire. So today ( Jan 1, 2014) we start the new year with a contest for programming only in official languages.

Rules
   •   Although the contest starts today (Jan 1, 2014), entries can be submitted that started after December 15, 2013
   •   The contest is divided into three categories
  • Ti-Basic
  • Lua
  • Ti-Basic/ Lua
   •   The projects should be in by Jan 31, 2014

Note3: It is not required that the program is complete;functionality is the main concern;entertainment in the case of games

   •   THIS RULE APPLIES ONLY FOR THOSE WHO STARTED BEFORE JAN 1, 2014:
You have to remove the download link from your topic until nomination/ rejection. Do leave a note for the removal of the link
   •   You are allowed to have a topic for the project, but should not have any download file. (Screenshots allowed)
   •   More than one program allowed

How to submit
When you are done programming, PM the document to me with the following details:
   •   Your screen name
   •   Document name
   •   Document size
   •   Category
   •   Date of beginning
   •   Percentage complete when submitting
   •   If started before Jan 1, tell the percentage complete on Jan 1
   •   Topic link (if any)

Note 4:Once you send me the PM no changes can be made and your first PM for the document will be final.
Note 5:Each PM should contain only one program, if submitting multiple, unless they are interconnected.

Nomination
By Feb 7 all programs will ready for voting. Voting will start by Feb 8 and continue till Feb 21. Every 2-3 day the program(s) with the lowest votes will be eliminated

The Reward
I am not sure since this is my first mini contest, but i am thinking of providing a collection of best games and programs in lua and basic + all participants' programs for the people who have the top three number of votes.

Final Notes
Note 5: The reason for the long time for the programming is because it concerns lua as a language that needs to be tested before release and basic just takes a lot of time to make a simple program.
Note 6: This is also an excuse to know all nspire holders out there.

changes might occur in the following days

judging rules will be up by jan 8
