Newlib's math library doesn't work, so you have to use another library. In fact you need to use fdlibm compiled for the TI-Nspire, which you can find here. (I suggest including fdlibm.h rather than math.h, but both should work since they should be pretty much identical)

You can try removing a few of the HAVE_* defines in SDL_config_prizm.h, as SDL does implement a few of the functions. Also doesn't the Prizm have a 320x240 usable screen (EDIT: apparently it doesn't indeed)?

More practical? What's more practical in this internal layout which neither looks like the original Nspire nor is it a usual QWERTY keyboard that most people use every day. Ok, if you use the PC keyboard to handle the emulator then it doesn't matter (despite of Nspire keys which have no corresponding PC key), but if you want to use the emulator with the mouse then you have to 'search to death' for every key position.
As far as I'm concerned it's nothing really considerable (hence the "tiny bit"). As long as it is somehow visible what keys are held down I'm be content with it.

What's the purpose of this raw keyboard representation?

I've now updated nSDL to 0.3.2. I've done some major housekeeping, the code should be a lot cleaner and everything should be nicely organized (the current video code for instance ( here) is nearly twice as small as 0.2.0's 400-liner ( here)). I've purged all crap from everywhere, no more mouse support because it wasn't perfect when using SDL_PollEvent() and I couldn't bother to debug it (and I think Lua's better for that kind of stuff), no more diagonal arrow key support I added in the previous version. Removing those two simplified the event fetching code to a simple little loop, which means it's faster and I'm much more content with it. It's such a rewarding feeling to clean shit up. Anyway I also added SDL_gfx and updated fdlibm no one's heard about (it's a working, fast, Sun's full implementation of math.h functions; newlib's math functions don't work): https://github.com/Hoffa/nSDL/wiki/Additional-librariesI haven't really tested SDL_gfx THAT MUCH, but it should run alright. SDL_gfx allows you to rotate and stretch images, draw anti-aliased lines, circles, triangles and all of your deepest fantasies. If I remember correctly it should do some heavy surface conversions on the fly so it might be pretty damn slow on a calculator, but I haven't tested so what do I know. So here are the changes: - Removed mouse, diagonal arrow key support - Using SDL_GetVideoInfo() should now always give accurate information - Faster event loop - A LOT of cleaning up - Apart from nSDL itself, added SDL_gfx and updated fdlibm I think I'm finally ready to leave my baby for quite a long time. Is there any way of easily finding where you made changes to the SDL source? I would like to look a little to see what it takes to port it to a new platform

Now that SDL for the TI-Nspire works rather well and has been under development for some time, I will probably (despite my finals) try and port a very fast software implementation of OpenGL (based on TinyGL). That could mean some serious 3D stuff soon. There'll also be a very last update for nSDL that basically does some final cleaning up to leave a nice little package before I go.

Thanks Hoffa! ^^ By the way, Is SDL_gfx compatible with nSDL?* Eiyeron dreams about rotozoom It isn't, haven't had the time to port it (this made me remember I have a half-assed port of SDL_image also somewhere). Actually I just checked the source code of SDL_gfx, and it's just a few files, so porting should be that difficult at all (with a bit of luck it won't require and code change at all). I for one have my exams currently so I won't have the time, but if you're up for the task go for it (I might however try in a few days if I find a few hours free). EDIT: As far as I can remember, rotozoom is pretty damn slow even on a desktop PC. Maybe they've optimized it a bit since, but I'm not sure how well it'll perform.

Actually it is multi-platform, except for the TI-Nspire-specific functions that are not part of standard SDL (which you can view here). That means you won't be able to use nSDL's font system to draw strings on your PC basically (it could be integrated into a custom PC SDL build without too much trouble however, as it's not just a bunch of separate files dependent on nothing but standard SDL). So just write your SDL games using 320x240 resolution and 16-bit color depth and you'll be fine (of course no audio support on TI-Nspire as you can imagine)

Alright let's settle this once and for all. In the other thread we tried to explain our self, yet:
If you want to keep sucking TI's corporate dick, fine, but don't go around judging other guys' acts based on your deluded ideas. And other things pointing that we where ridiculous. I stayed calm in that thread, but I see this thread almost as a direct attack against us.
That is a language-related issue, and I agree that using the word "dick" might be a bit harsh, but it does not alter the substance of my post, which was mostly targeted at Haleya who said comp was disrespectful towards all of the coders, that he destroyed all hope and whatnot. I just now reread the thread, and I have to admit the language was inappropriate; I apologize for that. We were just messing a bit on this topic because I think these kind of internal wars about PTT etc. shouldn't even happen. It's ridiculous to fight about these 'issues' and this is how we showed it. Accept my apologies for this n00bish behavior but I couldn't resist. Talking about "cheating" etc. like the way you did just made me laugh a bit ("miserable hobo" part) at least that's a good part in these topics. (Also, you're speaking about decency etc. but you've been swearing...).
I understand fully. As far as the swearing is concerned, that's just the way I express myself, and it does not directly imply disrespect. I've expressed my opinion about such PTTKillers tools only once today, and I didn't intend to argue. Maybe I'm totally wrong, but this is not the point here.

For my defense, I'd say I was merely giving back what I got with that comment. I could see the genuine maliciousness in that little act (which is not often the case for me). I rarely am angry at anyone, it's just the way I dip my sentences in swear words and metaphors that makes it look like I'm an intolerant prick. Without exaggerating, I'm probably one of the most tolerant people around, but I won't go into that. This should not happen in the future, but just so that you know, I rarely am as furious as I might seem. I'm the very calm type of guy really (but with opinions, and respectful towards those of others), but as mentioned numerous times, the way I express myself might be deceiving of my true nature or of my intentions. Anyway I do not have the time nor do I wish to spend the whole day arguing here; I give my sincere apologies for whoever who felt attacked, insulted, or disrespected in any way. I hope this'll settle the matter and that we can peacefully coexist--although with different opinions--in the future.

Intentionally and maliciously wanting to derail a thread is one thing, arguing is another. I fully understand that you may not like the way I express myself sometimes (as it tends to be rather direct, image-fueled and cynical), but as far as I know I have not disrespected anyone, or at least not intentionally. Please do point out where I have been disrespectful, and you will get my genuine pardons. But if it's the language that causes issues, all I can suggest you is to develop a thicker skin, and learn to deal with sarcasm.
