TI-Nspire / Re: nFighter - The Fourth Lua Game in the World!
« on: April 22, 2011, 09:43:22 pm »
Thanks for the welcome, Sure, I can change it to nspire, np.

Just a quick question, when I had the student software I could do screenshots from it, I lost the liscence key for t and haven't bothered to call TI and see if they will look it up for me. I have heard that there is an nspire emu but I haven't found an updated version? Is the feature included in it?

nFighter progress update, I will soon be adding moving crates instead of the static ones found in the game. I will upload the new version as soon as a figure out a few bugs, namely the crates starting from the center of the screen instead of at the edge like they are supposed to... I will also be adding levels and possibly a boss or two dependent on the number of points that you receive. Each level would increase the difficulty. Finally, I plan to add a high score feature so you can remember your scores and challenge your friends.

Another point for ubuntu, I have several distros running and it is by far my fav. If you are looking for customization I would go with debian though. It'n not much fun to set up(debian) on the other hand...

Lua / Re: Can you code in Lua?

Oops I was reading the first page, didn't realize it kept going...

Anyways, I found this about compiling Lua Scripts...

According to the posts I found here -->http://forums.qj.net/psp-development-forum/82656-compiling-lua-scripts-luac.html
It looks like it can. There is a link to a sourceforge project...

Ok, good news I got tilp2 set up on linux and it's working fine, thanks for all the help :)

Yes, I guess I will have to give tilp a shot, I only have access to my windows computer at the moment which spits out an error message every time I run it so I'll have to wait a day untill I get back home to linux.

To answer a couple of qustions, My TI has 2.45MP (84 mode), and 2.0 (nspire mode) and TI connect is V 1.6.0

Thanks for your quick response, I'll give tilp a try in the next day or so.

Ok, my first question!

I have been using the ti computer link software to add programs to the nspire. That works perfectly.

Today I got my 84+SE keypad for the nspire.
I downloaded the TI connect software and installed a couple of flash applications from ticalcs archive.
I can install flash application without a probelm but when I try to install a ti basic program it says unable to communicate with calculator?

Anyone have a similiar problem? Just a newbie question what is the difference between a flash app and a tibasic program?

Thanks

Hello all, I  lost the game *sigh*

Yes, I do a little programming in Ti-basic and I'm learning Ti nspire basic.
Outside the ti world I am active in qbasic and am learning java.

I got an 83+SE but the serial link was shot so I decided to get an nspire, I'm quite eagerly aqaiting ndless 2.0!

Hi, I'm ingalls.
I've had a graphing calc for awhile and now my way around the ticalc file section pretty well. Especially the games section. I program in A couple of basic languages and am learning java.
