Other Calc-Related Projects and Ideas / Re: BACKUP YOUR PROGRESS OFTEN!« on: November 12, 2011, 06:22:50 am »
My netbook decided to fail, and while the HDD is still intact, I can not read the content because its a 1.8 inch drive.
Luckily, I made a backup of the stuff a few days before, so my losses weren't that great. (Although I lost all my bookmarks :'( ) Now I always copy stuff I'm working to too multiple servers (local and online) and make a second backup every time I'm going to make a big change. So now when bad luck strikes me, I don't have to worry 1083

I don't know, since I don't know how good you can control the port from axe.
I'm not a z80 guy ^^ 1086

I'm not sure, but I think high is one.
Also 31250 is not really the bit rate, but changes/sec (unit is baud) ^^ 1087

Take a look at this: http://patents.ame.nd.edu/microcontroller/main/node24.html
and this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_asynchronous_receiver/transmitter UART and RS-232 are your keywords 1088

Looks pretty easy, just a serial protocol
I don't know how easy it is to do with a TI-83, but its quite simple. You should look first at making it output serial data, sending the bytes together with the stop bits at the right bitrate. 1089

Very nice
@Homer, I think usb would be better for that 1090

I didn't put it in a cronjob yet, I was just going to ask you guys for your emails ^^
I was thinking of every 1-2 hours, not too bad 1093

I'll put it like a cron job, and let it mail some guys when it detects a change

TI-Nspire / Re: NES EMMULLLATOR (FOR NSPIRE!)!« on: November 11, 2011, 07:54:35 am »From what I've heard, Lua isn't even good for smooth-scrolling tilemappingThe image drawing function is a bit slow, but it is possible to create smooth-scrolling graphics. And this will also improve in future OS updates. Most emulators only synchronize emulated time with real time once per frame; 60Hz suffices for that.Ah, didn't think about that. Well, I guess I'll look into older devices to emulate. Thanks for the info |
