Okay...all hope is not lost. After sifting through mountains of BASIC games in the TIcalc.org database, i stumbled across an old rpg i was making. Carefully removing it from the shelf, i blew the dust

ok, so things seem to be getting a bit better, now that schools out.but of course, theyre gonna be pressuring me even more to find a job that i just cant get. cant they see, that in texas its next to impossible to get a job?! especially for the summer, cos everyone's out looking then. anyway, i fear it wont be much longer tillthey give me the boot. when i do finally leave, i'll take me comp and my calc with me so i can keep programming.

Introduce Yourself! / Hello« on: May 26, 2006, 08:28:00 pm »
Hi, Im Loki Hakuba, and I program for the z80 line. Including, but not limited to: 82, 83, 83+, 83+SE, 84+, 84+SE. i also do work on 89Ti, a well as PC with VBS, VB, VB.NET, and some BATCH programming. A little Brainfuck, too. I'm 18, junior in highschool, and live with my parents (but probably not much longer...theyre just DYING to kick me out) I'm bi-polar and manic depressed, suicidal and homicidal (often at the same time), but i'm really a nice guy under it all. So they say. i have a 96 ford taurus GL 3.0 litre v6 engine which i've wrecked once and bottomed out in too many times to count. I'm bisexual and pagan. I study languages, both programming and spoken. I'm fluent in 4 kinds of english (english, american, olde english, and ebonics...yes, sadly, ebonics is a language.), and i know a little of 5 more languages, including russian, japanese, french, spanish, and italian. i've got bad memory, and going deaf in my left ear. I cant think of anything else to say, so i'll stop here.

well really the only thing thats actually been done concerning the game is the opening title screen and character names and somewhat of a plot. all of which i believe can be found earlier in this topic.
The main character is Soma, an orphan raised by a group of shamans and wizards and various other magic folk. he's about 19 years old, 5'10 with longish black hair that falls around his scarred face, giving him a rough look. his eyes are dark gray. His preferred weapon is his magically enhanced dagger which he got from his father before being cast out. the dagger was only a regular dagger, but through his training he'd cast spells on it to make it better. His father had abandoned him during a depression that lasted about 100 years. his family had cast him out when he was 10. The depression is mostly over now, and 4 rival groups seek to control the land. The secondary character is Lilly, an 18 year old girl with multi-coloured eyes and long blonde hair. 5'6 feet tall, she doesn't look like much for fighting. Booksmart and resourceful, she's had little trouble making it through the depression. She's an archer and is (probably) in love with Soma. She meets Soma when he saves her from the clutches of a gang of misfits at the edge of the town they live in. She's lived with her family throughout the depression and has never known the horrors of true combat. Her weapon of choice is an old bow her great-grandfather carved. She spent most of the depression making arrows for her bow, and has gotten the technique down perfect. thats about all i've gotten for the game. I'll let whoever takes on the project (if anyone) take care of the rest. I only hope it stays imaginative and great throughout the game. Keep in mind: this is a somewhat horror story, with totally uinexpected plot twists. also, try to throw in some humour (but dont make it stupid or pointless...i want a high-quality game here.) make the maps beautiful and expertly done. if the lanscape is desolate and a wasteland, make it look as such, but keep the quality of the graphics as high as possible. you really dont have to follow these guidelines, but if you're going to take on this project, i'd really really rather you did. Also, i wanna be the first to test it =P but other than that, its all yours. You can contact me any time if you have questions or need inspiration. Good luck to whoever does this. 179

96 blue ford taurus gl, 3.0 litre engine, v 6. Top speed(discovered): 120 mph (so far...heheheh...) brakes: great. tires: okay. automatic transmission, 75,000+ miles on it. stereo kicks all sorts of ass. acceleration: -60 in about 5 seconds. the look on a friends face when powersliding through narrow roads and cars on both sides: priceless.
