Nowadays, I don't have enough time to read all the posts, and sometimes misses some of them because there are just too many.
And nice! It should make people with limited access easier to get to axe page!

Project M (Super Mario) / Re: Project M Reboot

Amazing... Beautiful... that's all I can say...

Yeah I read it through once, and I understood. It was also very funny, and engaging. Well, I might be a bit biased about understanding them at once, because I had some knowledge about binary number :P
But I can't wait for second lesson :)

S.A.D. (Seek and Destroy) / Re: [S.A.D.] Progress 2010
« on: April 25, 2010, 12:31:51 am »
It would really be terrible if you had to use the extra ram... I personally have a calc that was made just right after they changed the hardware, so I can't run TI-Boy, etc. Although playing pokemon was solved using my TI-89, if I can't play S.A.D., I would probably cry, and rickroll myself to death

I just printed out. I'll give the feedback ASAP!

I foresee a big huge RPG made using this method. (May be Illusiat 13 clone with better graphic? :P )

I think they depend on the development of your brain. I heard from somewhere that one half of the brain was for language and the other for math and stuff. I myself am good at Math and Science, but not much at language...

Gaming Discussion / Re: Are you guys Excited about Starcraft II?
« on: April 24, 2010, 02:33:50 am »
Guess what I just found out... It's the worst news EVER!
Okay, after searching through Google (my best friend) and finding out that you can get a cracked version of Starcraft 2 beta, I immediately went for it. The speculated system specification said that minimum RAM is 512MB, and my computer exactly had 512MB (phew!). The Speed was good, my computer being 2.80GHz, and SC2 requiring around 1.5(?)GHz. So I was like, yes! My computer's not too old!
This Cracked version allows people to play SC2 singleplayer with AI. After 2 hours of hassling with installation and such, I finally got all the things I needed. I got to the launcher, downloaded Lost Temple map, set my race as Zerg, set Computer as random, and pressed launch.
Then, the computer screen went into a black screen, and I was waiting for the logo things to pop up, and so happy that I will finally be able to play starcraft 2! But what greeted me was an error message...

It said that I do not have a good enough graphics card. SC2 requires Something called Vertex Shader at least 2.0, and it seems like my computer don't have that supported. FAIL!
So, I can't play SC2 because my computer's crappy. (Well, I don't own this computer, this is like the house computer thing) We got this computer around 2003~2004. Really old -_-;;;
I guess I'll just have to wait until my college gives me my macbook (Yes, the college I'm going to gives me full scholarship, and a macbook)...
So the point is, my life sucks and if you don't want to end up like me, upgrade graphics card once in a while!
That's my bad news.

TI Z80 / Re: Tetris in TI basic
« on: April 24, 2010, 02:22:05 am »
yeah I heard it wasn't very practical in many cases. I guess it can come useful for people who love to use Lbl/goto a lot and understands such code better. I understand that several nested While/repeat can become confusing about where each ends x.x

I could show the code for Illusiat 13 menu and I am fairly certain some people may get confused

With the hnefatafl AI, there was like 7 stacked If...Then/While/For that it was hard to keep track of all the ends. :P

And this routine does seem very useful. Especially if you want to decrease the number of programs for the ease of transfer (I'm now considering to use for Hnefatafl since I want to make it all into one program, but there are many recurring codes so I might do this thing)

I want to learn it^^ So far, I'm upto day 10 in learn asm in 28 days, but I still don't know what the heck is going on. I kind of get the stacks and stuff, but I don't get the pointer and the whole ad and bc and hl etc. stuff... They are pretty hard, mostly because it lacks examples and visuals, and try-this-on-your-own things

TI Z80 / Re: Hnefatafl: The Viking Board Game (download on page 7)

yeah... I learned through this that programming AI can be a real headache.

Well, it seems like that the AI takes longer and longer as the game goes on, because there's more available moves possible when the pieces are more spread out and the board gets more complex. So the average speed seems to be around 30~40 seconds :(
