So I am thinking of buying the HW4, since there seems to be patches for me to be able to play games, and have fastest processor (or so TI-Edu claim) and biggest memory ^^
How much is it tho, in staples and such? I want the new one, with the CD and instruction manual, not one of those used ones in ebay o.o 933

And I had a lot of math programs to help, and my favorite one was solving the systems of equation with matrix, with steps showing. 935
TI Z80 / Re: the Tale of Lost Map« on: December 05, 2009, 09:45:16 pm »
Thanks. In the program, I only used Y and * for the map, so they are all one byte each^^

TI Z80 / Re: the Tale of Lost Map« on: December 05, 2009, 04:36:59 pm »
yeah, it does... 7 maps are 2924 bytes in program, and they don't even contain any of the special characters, which are 2 bytes instead of one.

I am not using pics... The whole walking and stuff is in homescreen, using output for the fast map conversion.
I also use the matrix, hence I can use same tile, but they can have different effect, as you can see in "You are standing" sign. The space is empty, but the event is triggered. and i will consider using 8. 938

Okay. finally the screenshot that i promised.
THIS IS NOT THE FINAL STUFF!!! The map of real game will be more 3D looking, like Illusiat 13. This was made to test. The battle system is not set, too. I'm thinking whether to include timer, for the real-time battle, but that would mean that it won't work on TI 83+. If I do the turn-based battle, it will be compatible, but it would be very similar to every other BASIC RPGs... I made the saved game loading faster, if you can compare with the last screenshot i posted. 939
TI Z80 / Re: Math program« on: December 04, 2009, 10:07:21 am »
i don't know what antiderivative is...
and i am learning chain rule today~ I am going to halt this thing for a while, and make it after i learn more about derivative 940
TI Z80 / Re: Math program« on: December 03, 2009, 10:34:30 pm »
Yeah, i wanted to program that in BASIC... and mine will show the steps in solving that.
Our teacher will destroy our grade with just one word: "HOW?" if we don't put the steps in. I am trying to do the product and quotient, but don't know what chain is... haven't learned that yet 941
TI Z80 / Math program« on: December 03, 2009, 01:57:02 pm »
I don't know if this post belongs here, but anyway, I am making a math program.
Anyone taking AP Calculus AB right now? I am learning about Derivatives (which pretty much is what AP calculus is about) So I wanted to program on TI 84 that if I input the function (even with trig functions) the program will give me the derivative. I am very far into it. the program gives me the derivative as long as there's one function and doesn't have trig function in it. But the problem is that I have no idea how im going to do with trig function. Also, it is still buggy with the roots sign. And it doesn't yet know how to combine like terms. I will upload it as soon as I can~ 942
General Calculator Help / Re: TI 89« on: December 03, 2009, 10:15:59 am »Actually, BASIC on the 89 is better structured than on 83+, but since it's harder and not much faster, people don't find it worth learning when there's something just slightly harder but much more faster.I thought the hardware was faster in TI 89 than TI 84. Well, and i did try to learn C++ but failed i always fail trying to learn computer language. I want to take computer programming in college tho as a minor 943
TI 68K / Re: FFTOM 89 Port« on: December 03, 2009, 10:03:17 am »
I pretty much sparked the life in calculator gaming in the school. I taught them how to download the games from ticalc, and they play mario, phoenix, falldown, tetris, and many others... and when i make a game (usually very simple that i make it within 2 math periods) i give it to them

General Calculator Help / Re: TI 89« on: December 02, 2009, 07:37:06 pm »
really? I thought it would be awesome, with its ability to use pop-up things and BASIC sprite drawings and such. And there are pretty good BASIC games at ti-calc. so i was like, OMG i so want that! Anyway, even if i might not program on it, i still want the calculator, for the gaming experience and math

TI-Nspire / Re: TI-Nspire GB Emulator« on: December 02, 2009, 07:34:06 pm »
There are 2 kids in the entire school that has n-spire. they have no idea how to work that thing, so usually they change into 84+ keypad to do their math.
Also, I wouldn't like to own n-spire since they are horrible at programming. Unless someone makes new OS that will completely change that and allows BASIC program to be awesome, with its native grayscale and huge screen |
