The old one was so new people would understand it a little more, but now I guess he was going for the best way. He made it amazingly fast, and I think it's a great base engine if you need one.

xLIBs getkey is faster, but detects keys a little wierd. It is so fast it misses the key press sometime. I use it in a couple of my games (Tank) and it's a space saver and speed boster. I would imbed it in a loop for a walking engine, or something that isn't real time (DDR/FFR/XXR). The arrows are simply 1-8, so I just do c1--> CODE | ec1Repeat Ans and Ans<9 real(8 Endc2 |
ec2 That's just for using the arrows, but add a or Ans=54 (2nd I think) if you wanted more.

Thanks Atari/Alex, I haven't added much to the game. I did work on some ideas and sprites though, but I will save that for a bigger update. Timendus is working on a linking routine that is very fast and looks promising, maybe it will get added to xLIB...If it does then this looks like it might have real time link play!
