I think it is the fact of many newbies asking "When will this be done! Can I test!??" You know how it is, like the emails you receive. I could only imagine how it must feel to be constantly questioned about progress being made towards a program/game (like I do with you   ).

Upload your image to a host (I like http://imageshack.us, but others like photobucket), after uploading you can make a post containing the following: c1 --> | CODE | ec1
also imageshack will have other options to post larger images as thumbnails that will show full if clicked on.c2 |

It seems as if ticalc.org is dyeing, I would pay money to help keep it alive if I could..It is not that it has the most files, but also is visited more than any other archive site (many different types of people visit newbies<->programmers).
If someone could email/msg on IRC to MV, let them know people still care (willingness to donate/code). I would love to see someone add a automatic file archiver, but with admin approval (have it upload and all, but can not download till approval).

If you were to modify CDIs engine, I would suggest a total rewrite. And besides that, you could have the basic movement (like Kevin suggest about Quake 4). Each direction is its own pic, call each time..Or you could do it in a smaller screensize, where 4 directions are in 1 pic (I actually wanted to make such a thing, and worked on gathering some thoughts...).
