Regardless of if his calc is a touchpad or a clickpad one, it won't make any difference. Both calcs will behave exactly the same way with his clickpad keypad, regardless of if it's a TI-Nspire clickpad or touchpad, because it's not a CAS model.
Black TI-Nspire/TI-Nspire Touchpad with touchpad installed = TI-Nspire Touchpad Blue TI-Nspire/TI-Nspire Clickpad with touchpad installed = TI-Nspire Touchpad Black TI-Nspire/TI-Nspire Touchpad with clickpad installed = TI-Nspire Clickpad Blue TI-Nspire/TI-Nspire Clickpad with clickpad installed = TI-Nspire Clickpad

Yeah but in his first post he mentionned what kind of Nspire he got. He said he has the regular TI-Nspire with a clickpad and a 84+ keypad, not the Touchpad. Quote of his post:
Hello everyone, a friend of mine in my class (obviously a girl as you will find out if you keep reading) bougth TI Nspire, the regular one, and she has two keyboards: TI 84+ Keypad; TI Nspire Clickpad.
I think he's saying the girl got a clickpad nspire. If Scout David had a clickpad, he wouldn't be asking for either keypad, because both are included.
Really, like others said, its up to what you want to do. Though you could get the clickpad keypad, and register your calc with TI, to get the free 84+ keypad, so you have both.
All what I wanted to know was if ScoutDavid's calc is a CAS touchpad, or not.
Anything else i got even if I couldn't express me so...
ScoutDavid, se ler isso responda-me. Sua calculadora é a TI Nspire touchpad CAS, ou a sem o manipulador?
He mentionned clickpad so he got the one that is downgradeable to OS 1.7 or lower. Personally I would choose the 84+ one due to the greater choice of games and not being able to learn C, but if you're gonna program in C and want to develop Ndless games, you should go with the clickpad.
I said that because, if his is the Nspire Touchpad CAS, he won't be able to use the 84+ ... [since isn't easy to get a runOS, and it probably wont be released as far as I know]
/* This is just a useless block of comments
Depending of your teacher(s) the "normal" keypad would be the best for your friend, [you know it's easier to create documents there and manage them, than with a 84]
and it could help she cheat on tests.. {as i said before depends of teachers as some doesn't reset your calc} */
Hello everyone, a friend of mine in my class (obviously a girl as you will find out if you keep reading) bougth TI Nspire, the regular one, and she has two keyboards: TI 84+ Keypad; TI Nspire Clickpad.
She told me she would GIVE me one, since she doesn't need 'both'. She says, she can only use at the same time so she only wants one (yes, she is blonde). So, I just have to tell her which one is better for her and I get to have the other one.
So, I would like Clickpad because I think that with ClickPad I can jailbreak my calculator and install ndless, but I don't know if that is really that good (is it?, btw is it possible with the Clickpad, it may be just rumors).
On the other hand, the 84 Keypad will allow me to program TI Basic just like in TI 84+ and develop programmes for 84+ and Nspire, which would be aweesoome. In addition, I could have 84+ games and programmes.
Which one do you recommend? I have so many doubtsssss, what to do?
if (Your nspre is the basic one with touchpad?){ take the 84+ } else{ take the clickpad }
I remember Builderboy got the on-calc file corruption issue when transferring programs from his calc to the computer. Were you using TI-Connect? It might actually be TI-Connect's fault from some old posts. What does CAD and CFD stands for, though?
Well, good lucky, and I think in Nspire 2.x it won't be difficulty for you do ... but you could just write a simpler thing in nspire [working on 1.4-2.x] with many well documented functions...
EDIT:
if you want I can do it for you, and you will be able to look at, and see how simple it is, and then do this program using the request, which is available just for 2.x OSes
5.9? And what do you mean we shouldn't go that far? Also, no idea is a bad idea really. It's just that some will work with small scale numbers while some don't.
If you knew what 5.9 is probably you would agree ...
5.9 is a way,( btw one of the best of them) to exploit the critical point on everything done yet. and it depends, it can work very well [usually do] or you won't get anything at all.
5.9 it's a way of SEing. If you know what this is will help a lot for you understand.
//for some reasons I don't feel comfortable to explain much better what it really is neither how does it work here, in a open topic.
man, I love the "prevent additional dialogue option for Chrome.
In opera it's also safe to try the code which I've posted...
PS: I posted very clear to anyone undestand that it would be a I.L. and so not do what I said, Because if I posted something like this, it wouldn't be easy to understand:
