Miscellaneous / Re: What is your signature?

Yeah it looks very great and it blends well on the forums. Was it really made in 2003?
Only the reflexive and transparency was done in past years.

here's the original:

up to now I've seen strings only in the function/prgm("hereismystring1","hereismystring2",...)
but not in the middle of the program to get strings...

What about distributed computing?

I mean like rainbow crack...
it could not be very fast, but the concept of softwares like seti@home
can do a lot of things in some amount of time that you won't be able to do alone.

Think, with the help of let me say 50 users using something to factor just a part of it and then sending the progress back for continue the work.

With all these, we won't get the RSA keys quickly, but possibly in a 4 month work it will be able for everyone.

Mine is a small remake of a almost unchanged signature ...

and I think it still looks great from 2003 to now...

Other Calculators / Re: Nelson Sousa: N-Spire Programmer
« on: October 16, 2010, 01:59:09 pm »
Don't worry, we were allready aware of his existence.
Indeed, we were already aware of him...
Without the context those two post may sound a bit rude (in the way that it may sound like everyone should know Nelson Sousa the second they come to birth), but they mean something else and aren't meant to be. Nelson Sousa is a well-known TI-Nspire programmer on Omnimaga, TI-BANK and some other TI websites, but not in a positive way. He is against 3rd-party development for the TI-Nspire because he doesn't want games to be available for the TI-Nspire and he bashed quite a lot of great programmers and contributors from Omnimaga and TI-BANK. I wouldn't be surprised if he was helping TI to block exploits used by Ndless.

In other words, while Nelson Sousa did a bunch of great math programs, he has a very bad reputation of trolling in the TI community, especially here, since Omnimaga is mostly game programming oriented.

Some posts, unless they were moderated, can be found at http://groups.google.com/group/tinspire/browse_thread/thread/2978472efdd30e01/1a7a60834175530a?q=nleash&lnk=ol& . I am certain there are others and I believe I did see rude posts on ticalc.org too in the past. If he ever joins Omnimaga his nickname will immediately appear in our watch list in the staff forum.

Well he have his credits for all those great programs,
but it's a shame ssuch great programmer is trying to avoid liberty in nspire...

and all his tns is always updated to the newest OS,
so he is forcing everyone whom want those to update to that 2.0/2.1...

=/

Aah ok. For the blue lobster it was in reference to an old Omnimaga inside joke involving Netham45 member. :P
I am a newcomer here, so I can't get any inside joke, or something older than 3 months...

Wow that's great, but it would be even better if the scorpion had a different tail so it is a lobster and if it was blue ;D

To be sincere, I bought my nspire just because it's blue, so looks better than the white one.

but, i couldn't find a blue scorpion... =/

TI-Nspire / Re: TI-89 emulator for TI-Nspire
« on: October 14, 2010, 04:42:18 pm »
Yeah higher level languages can make the job much faster than assembly sometimes. I saw many ASM projects take incredible amounts of time  then a similarly sized project written in another language be done in a matter of a few weeks. Also I have heard that stuff like role playing games are a major pain to code in assembly. Iambian, who's coding one for z80 calcs, said it a few times, too.

On 68K what I often noticed is that most stuff is written in C but parts that require speed like 3D or raycasting are written in ASM (sometimes by someone else)

As for the 89 emu, the reason why Calc84maniac didn't work on it much is because he lost the entire source code in a laptop failure. (same for most of his Nspire projects).

Well, noone is better than himself to reply this, by
I still think, if we get ndless possibly he will be motivated to start it again/ disassemble what he have now

btw, when I finish the library I am doing for C, I will get more time to work on this [ndless]
and C programming for calcs...

{As I have no idea how to create an emulator for a calc}

Ah ok :D I wasn't sure which language was spoken in Brazil besides Portuguese but it didn't look like Portuguese.

Well, sadly isn't spoken any language beside portuguese here excluding native-languages (which almost only natives know)
however I am a strange, who speaks a lot of languages for a brazilian...

for example isn't very easy to find a brazilian who knows english at all =/

Does that means happy birthday in brazilian language?

You understood what it means, but the language is the danish one.

in "brazilian language" or if you prefer brazilian-portuguese it's:

ParabĂ©ns para vocĂȘ

* ASHBAD_ALVIN does not care about math, just the damn programming :P

Now, thing about an average student, if you knew you could have a powerful tool with both awesome games
and math, wouldn't you pick it instead of just a basic colored thing?

Well, I do believe if TI launch an ASM support, soon will appear the most amazing OS ever,
TI nspire CAS + 84 emulator

or maybe a TI 89 emulator, as it has been done before...

it will make it the most amazing calc for math ever...

*kyllopardiun cares about math stuff in calculators

I guess the only way to see this on our nspires sooner, is to learn arm asm
and help people with ndless 1.7

/*
I want to learn asm but not sure how to get started,
and maybe even if I learn, it possibly wont be enough to helping they developing ndless

All what i know is: asm is hard to learn =/
