No, it just sets your velocity to zero and doesn't do anything else.

The recoil from some guns (the minigun especially) makes you stick to walls (due to pseudo-friction). This is the actual game, BTW.

I've fined tuned all the motions, and implemented the bouncy platforms. I have yet to get the platforms fully working, but I'm attempting to cannibalize Zedd for my own purposes ^^

Yunhua's tutorials scrolling tilemaps look really hard. I think I have a simpler way. Howevercould be Wrong since I've never done a tilemap before.

Yunhua's method is actually the simplest there is IMHO.

Very cool! I'm sure it'll do well if you have the time to get a sizable chunk of it completed by the deadline. :)
I plan to get all of it done - and then some ^^

I love the background. Sad to see JustCause cancelled it (although I blame his parents for nearly killing it about 3 times), but I'm happy he handed it to someone else and that it's being continued. :D
He didn't cancel it, I just asked him and he said ok. He was still planning on doing it, but I stole it from him D:

So you'll want to create a greyscale sprite like this:

Black is where you want black
light grey is where you want white
dark grey is where you want grey
white is where you want transparency

and just Pt-Mask (under plot for some reason) with the usual arguments.

A port of the critically acclaimed Flash game.

Since JustCause handed the project over to me, I've been working on porting this for the Cemetech Contest #8. Things are going pretty well, and I've got about half of the engine done with. I'm currently working on platform collisions, and will have updates once I have them ^^

I would probably figure out acceleration first, but Zedd takes care of that for you. I've played Hook Champ, and when I saw the title before opening the thread I was like "Hook Champ port?" :D If you want to draw the rope from the character, change where you draw your character or where the rope is linked to.

Sorry guys. Some of you might know this already, but I lost all my files due to my own negligence. I will not be continuing this project, but am already working on something far more epic for the Cemetech contest (hint puzzle platformer involving copious particles :D) Again, sorry, I know a lot of you were looking forwards to this.
