Would there be any chance of the American Video Entertainment's (79) mapper to be supported in a future release. Support for their hearty Solitaire/Blackjack engine would be great, as well as various minor games such as Impossible Mission-II, Dudes with Attitude, etc...
The current release is amazing, If I may add. Keep up the good work, Goplat.

Thanks Eeems, you're absolutely right. I had accidentally downloaded the original as per the first post by mistake; now on my way to downloading the latest arch based ISO. EDIT: By the way, just wondering if Arch would be compatible with either Debian/Ubuntu or Fedora/openSUSE packages natively; WINE, for example, does not list Arch one of its supported OSes (although I believe wine is, or was, inbuilt) although I'm fairly sure this won't be a problem at all.

Just wondering what the criteria needed to run the OS through LiveCD are, as opposed to running through an emulator such as VMware which does most of the work. I've tried running it on both my desktop and various laptops, but they all seem to be "trapped" in a very quasi-DOS environment, lacking of a GUI. After selecting to run OmnimagaOS at the menu and being taken to the usual loading screen, a DOS EULA followed by black screen is all I am able to view. I am asked and able to login to a text based environment, without even a hint of GNOME (although it seems to be asking me to type something) but that's all. Would this be an xserver fault, or is my hardware unable to support the OS at all. EDIT: I have been able to run Ubuntu for quite some time, I'm not sure if this is relevant though.

This operating system looks AMAZING for schooling, Eeems, and I've been an avid user of Ubuntu for many years. I was just wondering if it would be possible to run the OS directly from the USB/CD without installation (similar to Ububtu's LiveCD), so as to use it with school or work restrictions in place. The inclusion of that many amazing programs inbuilt (Wine, OpenOffice.org, ChatZilla, TI Tools?) is just pure win, beats the [insert profanity here] out of any mainstream distros I know.

Yeah, everything's 100% functional now, besides losing small amount of homework records and the [cough] majority of my Nintendo projects [/cough].
In the end, I'm just glad to actually able to do my VCE schooling. Since the majority of Years 11-12 are strongly TI-Nspire based (graph and compare), Omnamaga's just inadvertently kept me from the life of a garbageman.
Thanks for the help.

I bought actually bought one of these and HIGHLY recommended it ; however, all I could determine was that Scientology is the one true religion and some nonsense about the spirit of Christmas. I think it'll take a few more years of development before its usefulness kicks in.

There is actually no PC side error message on the compute side, or rather was no PC side error message. I've just come to resolve the issue via the reformatting of my harddrive. Although I had isolated the problem to a corrupt "~\documents\Program Files\mviewer.tns" file, formatting the entire system was the only means of removing it. Thanks for the tips, by the way. The only solid evidence I had was virtually that "NDless doesnt werk the OS crashes" to begin with, and boot2 Maintenance had solved the majority of problems.

It's just that Goplat uses a totally different nickname on ticalc.org (which used to be something else before too, if I remember)
Korath 3, Goplat... It may just be the extra vitalin or residue from my neural stunner, but does anyone smell a connection here?

Hey ExtendeD.
The reinstallation comment was actually referring to the attempted reinstallations of OS 2.1.0 onto the OS-less Nspire using the "TI-Nspire CAS Computer Software" on CD. I had repeatedly sent (supposedly successfully) the same handheld image of the 2.1.0 CAS (from the TI website) multiple times to the calculator. What the nspire labels as a "Software Update," however, does not seem to install past roughly 50%, and displays a message of error below; booting each time respectively then the same message of an absent operating system, and to install a new one.
Thanks for the maintenence related solutions. I'll try a few for the moment (start at wiping smaller to larger parts)

After using the Ndless 2.1.0 Installer on my TI-Nspire CAS Touchpad (with OS 2.1.0 installed) for quite a while, I had recently encountered an error in which the calculator crashed immediately after running ndless . After a number of days without any Ndless version installing correctly, I had decided to re-install the Operating System, BAD IDEA. After attempting this, old OS has become unusable and reinstalling, no matter how many times, simply fails; the only message which appears is the standard "Operating system not found. Install OS now," . What should I do, Omnimaga? Is there a way to reformat my calc to reinstall OS 2.1.0 successfully; or will I be forced to send my calc away for repair? Is there a way to fix this at home with the RS port on the bottom of the calc? Will TI even accept the calc, let alone refrain from installing the new OS 3.0 on it? One positive I may add is in the form of the TI-Nspire STudent Software. I had noticed that by opening the program, I was able to view the calc's contents in the My Files/handheld tab, reguardless of the state of the OS. One file in particular, however, seems to be undeletable, being a glitchy "Program Files" folder with a further glitched 0kB "mviewer.tns" inside. Would this be the root of the problem? When I had opened the folder on the Calc prior to the OS installation, I was able to "delete" the folder, but it would reappear. Deleting it after the attempted installation on the PC Student Software results in an error only. Is this fammiliar in any way to your own calcs? tl;dr: As stated earlier, I have no OS installed on my calculator, and reinstallation is apparently (due to a corrupt file?) impossible. What should or can I do? Thank you, whoever has bothered to read this post (regardless of capitalisation or overuse of exclamation points in the title).

I'm still receiving the same vague (yet humorously profane) error screen each time I have loaded the game: a successful portrayal of "loading" top-left, followed instantly by "F*CK| W_InitFiles: no files found" . Why could this be occuring? Would this be due to my usage of the 2.1.0 OS, or my comparative lack of Hard drive space? After this, a closing of the game window, either "F*CK| Couldn't allocate lumpcache" is sometimes displayed, or (more commonly) a sudden locking of the mouse. Regardless, nDoom still looks AMAZING!!! I can't wait to own a copy on my TI!

Hey, thanks Goplat The timer is definitely what had caused it, and - as expected - the frame limit has ceased its daily 20fps fall. +1 Internets to you! Now scholars everywhere can readily switch between their MissingNo. and Warp Whistle collections.

Hey Goplat. I'm currently running TI-OS 2.1.0.631, the latest if memory serves me right. As per your advise, I'd rebooted the OS entirely, via a prolonged removal of battery power. Despite my supposed labeling as a TI newfag, "turning it off and on again" had solved my tedious speed problem entirely. Although a reboot had solved this, It was after-all, only temporary. Running differing ndless applications (as you had mentioned) prior to NESpire, including mViewer and GBC4Nspire, had left NESpire subject to terrible speed problems afterwards (or at least in my current trials). Could I assume that NESpire uses a DO, LOOP function (or its C counterpart) to limit frames, as opposed to a time based one such as SLEEP; applications had most likely been running unclosed in the background, or alternatively left a large portions of data to eat away my RAM. Thanks for the reboot suggestion, by the way. It works wonders! PS: Sorry for the late post. I've just returned from dinner.

Nice App. This is truly amazing. +1 Internets to you. I seem to have an issue with the frame limiter, though. Games seem to be running slower than usual (50-65% speed?) with it on; whilst suppressing the "x" key to turn it off makes it way (250-300%) too fast. Is there we could change the value of this with a hex editor, or directly to the newly recovered source code? Once again, this app is brilliant!!! I have yet to find any bugs at all. Keep up the good work.

Is there any way we could get our hands on an alpha soon? Rather than requesting for emails individually, although I'd love it emailed to myself , is there any member who would be interested in uploading? I don't want to come off as an outsider on my first visit, but a Megaupload would be greatly appreciated. (PS: I'm not fussed by the risks, the majority of users have reported no problems anyway) The school year's already started over here, let the games begin.
