Hello all.

I followed the above instructions to solve my instantaneous black screen on TI-83.
For a split second I was able to see some digits before the "screen crash" would occur.
Nothing changed.

My solution is the following.
* remove all batteries including the memory coin cell
* return the AAA's in position
* press On
* check if it works
* press 2nd On
* return coin cell
