I have to agree with that.

Even our most renowned third-party apps have bugs too. The TIOS is pretty stable, IMO. If we file enough bug reports, they'll be able to fix most of them, I think.

Mmh.. I didn't really like that series. Tried it a few years ago, but yeah, it turned out not to be my style of fantasy...

I'm more in favour of the Wheel of Time. Of course, this is a matter of personal taste.

@DJ: lol@that.

Yes, some display issues with the homescreen, that's true.

Bugs != incompatibilities

Anyway, this is the only way of persuading my math teacher to use more powerful calculator software. She won't trust/allow ANY third-party stuff. Sad...

No romcalls were removed. The problem is the mathprint function messing with the homescreen and the hooks etc.

@tribal: My ptt patch has been altered for the 2.53MP OS. I've uploaded it on ticalc, but it's still pending.

I've got an idea: if 'quadratic' occurs in the description, refuse :P

Seriously now:
I think it is very hard in practice to thoroughly check for quality on all programs. It would probably be doable to reject stuff computing only one damn physics formula, and the like.

General Calculator Help / Re: 2.53MP in mah calc, sapping mah speed.

Strange... I'll stick with 2.53MP, do some research and such. It seems that there are 96 new bcalls. It's probably better to wait till next week before asking TI for documentation, though.

The MATHPRINT mode is slooooow. Else, fine coding. Probably TI's best since 2000 or something.

I'll start working on a PTT patch for this OS ASAP. xD

Wait... Who hacked TI's systems to copy the OS? :P

TI-BASIC / Re: So... how 'bout that 68k BASIC programming?
« on: February 06, 2010, 08:46:38 am »
Amen to that.

I have humongous respect for people taking basic to extremes (something of which I've never been capable myself). You CAN create very good stuff in basic, but it has limits (and so does asm, but asm's extremes are rarely met, except in calc84's stuff I guess :) )

TI-BASIC / Re: How to display the % sign in basic [homescreen]
« on: February 06, 2010, 08:30:00 am »
When I still did BASIC, I always had a HUGE string on my calc with all the "inaccessible" tokens in it.
Cool trick,though, Eeems!

These are probably known to most of you:

Calcsys console:
GREENLIGHTGO for a tunnel game with inverted arrow keys
WHOAMI: you get "Jackie Chan?" as a reply
REF: lookup a frequently used equate. (e.g. if you enter REF 86EC calcsys says "SAVESSCREEN", if you enter REF APPBACKUPSCREEN you get "9872")
GATOS: "Alfie and Felix"
MOUSE: weird mouse demo?

MirageOS 1.1 and lower:
Have three folders named SAVE, THE and WHALES. Enable "Save the whales" in the options menu. Go check your catalog ;)

(note: iirc this doesn't work on MirageOS 1.2, although the option still exists, but it has no effect)

@DJ: I sensed it was omnicalc ;D

No, I just guessed so. (it was the most probable solution)
