In computer science studies, I might maybe get into 68k calc programming. Who knows? (maybe cleverbot )

My problem will probably be lack of time...

Quite possible... It would explain a lot of dumb answers, and it would explain why it doesn't know the capital of Zimbabwe after I told him 1000! times. Some things make me not believe this, however. (like his reaction to */me* stuff)
EDIT: (I googled it. Some people on Belgian fora appear to think like Eeems.) Booh: "I don't even understand what this website is! I just randomly came to it! I'm scared now!" 469

I started at 13. As of now, I'm 15, and I've quasi-mastered z80 asm. I think I'll stick around
(Next school year will be my last in secondary school (==high school in the US), though, so once I'm at university, idk what will happen) 470

@galandros: I told it it was schizophrenic, it's answer was: Are you?
Rofl (mind the angband pun): *punches you in the face* *Dodges and trips you then starts kicking you in the stomach*. *Invokes a Mana Storm. You die* *comes to the wedding*. 471

Cleverbot won't believe me when I tell it Harry potter doesn't exist. :fail:
EDIT: Me: You're not human. Cleverbot: Of course I'm not, I know this. Three sentences ago, you said you were human. That was not me. So you're schizophrenic? EDIT2: Me: My native language is Dutch. What is your native language? Bot: French. Alors on peut mener cette conversation en français? Floppy is not a definitive description of a conversation. You said your native language is French, but you cannot answer my question in French? Does that make sense? Yep, you are mixing up conversations. I said my name was Elphaba. You never said I was a robot. 472

I read this when I just chatted with Elbot for half an hour. LOL.
EDIT: You are not god. I am not. Are you? Yes. Therefore you do not exist. I refer to "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" for proof. I disagree, the true answer is 'love'. (turing test: figure out what I said, and what was said by cleverbot). 473

TilEm can. You can "send" a variable like you send from calc to calc.

Galandros, I completely agree
I'll probably do my so-called "final scripture" at school about Z80 programming. (unfortunately for you all, that means it will be in Dutch) It will certainly give me a better "view" of the Z80 structure and so on, so maybe I can give this a try later on. (EDIT: "this" means "writing a tutorial about 83+ Z80 programming") One single problem: I'm going to have to find a teacher capable/willing to supervise me... :S 475

Very interesting point... I hadn't thought of that.
Btw, ztrumpet: day 15 ("advanced" math) is the hardest lesson of the tutorial after 23 (interrupts). I skipped both of them, at first, and didn't get back to them until way later when I already had a fair grasp of the language. (cheating works ) You pretty much don't need the routines described in day 15 to understand the rest of the course. They come in handy when you start writing code independently, though. (Personally, I never made any serious use of interrupts...) 477

Thanks all!
@DJ: thanks for the remark, I didn't notice. I'll use the large font routines for monster display. 478

Basically, I rate a post on the following conditions:
a) Presents an interesting and elaborated point in a discussion b) Contains a freakin' awesome piece of code/program demo c) the post makes me laugh And negative: d) The post is rude/unrelated 479
TI Z80 / Re: Rogue Z80« on: January 25, 2010, 01:40:31 pm »
Yay, progress!
Monster display routines work, there are a few bugs in the monster generator though. This vid demonstrates moving around the map with a few monsters around. 480

You should use Linux
No, seriously: if I were to buy a windows OS, I'd go for the seven as well. |
