TI Z80 / Physics Sandbox

Extremely cool and fun to play with, one feature for this that i would like to see added is a 'snap to grid', either for the cursor itself or for the created objects (I think the first one is far easier). Aside from that this is pure awesomeness!

I know a little hardware... not enough at all to build a calculator prototype, though.
I would be willing to help in some way though. It would be good hardware practice ;). (battery light indicator or something little like that maybe?)

Oh, and as for the screen, did we decide on 192 x 128, or did we go with something else because we couldn't find screens that size?
Basically it is 192*128 but if a other, better prized, screen is find or a screen that fits our needs better in general then we'll take a vote for that one. For now thoug, assume it'll be 192*128.

What worries me is that I am getting the idea this project is dying a slow death. Let me just repeat the question: where to go from here? Maybe I'll come up with a poll or something giving some pre-fab answers but I dunno if everyone is fine with that. Anyhow, I think it is time to recollect and recapture what we have gotten so far...
graphmastur? alberthrocks?

Maybe make CLEAR just CLS? its a little shorter and batch users will like it (therefor, I will like it :P)

I just love terminals, they are sort of a debugging window...

cool! I never knew that! makes me wonder whether or not it is possible to make a sort of 'Gamemaker' which is just a bunch of useful subs copied into the program :P.

Idem ditto

I hope we will be able to mess with the source a little if Builderboy lets us do that with his code too then maybe the best (fastest) of Zedd and HL2 could be combined into one super engine, first problem is the difference in 'world' size, you use x64 and builderboy uses x256

I can't  wait to mess around with either of those! great job so far, screenies look great!

Maybe I missed something but I didn't realize that axe supported subs with arguments? If it does then how? this seems to be undocumented (at least in the official PDF document)

Progress Report

MAJOR ERROR IN MY PROGRAM THUS FAR. I COMPILED AND RAN IT AND THE FOLLOWING HAPPENED.

1. When I try to run or edit any program from the TI-OS program menu, I get Err: Undefined.

2. Axe Parser 0.4.4 throws an Err: Unknown Err.

3. CalcSys App crashes when I try to enter the Prog VAT.

Resolved by reinstalling the OS.
Hmm you should update to the latest Axe version (0.4.5), unless you use Axioms. Otherwise, try to check what might be causing the problem and feel free to post code in the axe sub forum if you need help.
I second ^That

The gotta make a WFRNG for the upcoming quantum computers...

Also to those who fear any WFRNG based AI will take over the world they'll probaly rather die of it. It's agreat weapon against them..

[evil robot]: It is time for you to die...
[you]: no wait! I...I..am too young too die! My calculators batteries aren't empty yet!
[evil robot]: pathectic creature...
[you]: Oh yea? can you do...this!!! *pulls up calc and shows the WFRNG*
[evil robot]: what...?? no...nooo...NOOOO!!!! *explodes*
[you]: now where was I...aah yes...If X is not 1 which could be written as not not....

THE END

:D

I am willing to test but that error that just happened sounds pretty severe...
actually the reason i will be testing this is to see if I am clever enough to get around your antivirus :P its very tempting...

I wish you good luck on resolving the error, you can of course always share the source here and quickly find the cause but that is up to you...
I think I slowly begin to see some use for this program (not to be rude) I was skeptical at first but I think it has some neat features, you could eventually turn it into a teachers program that will allow the teacher to block games from being played etc...not that most students will like it but hey, the teachers will...gets you a A+ the next exam :P
