For the title screen is everything hard coded in with each line having it's own command or are the coordinates compressed at all?

TI Z80 / Re: Axe Minesweeper« on: September 13, 2010, 08:38:02 pm »modulus is a very useful in programming and is found in many other languages as well. It can be used for many applications like finding if a number is prime or for finding a row or many other uses. If you continue on programming, even in other languages it would be good to learn and the syntax is incredibly simple, after all it's just like all the other operators. Ya, I saw that it was used in C++ from a book I need to read. 1249

Oh haha, well that changes things. Then yes, there should be a "Insert Symbol" option.

About the cursor thing? Like if you wanted a box, or something, that just surrounds the option you're choosing. It might look odd if you leave them so close to the edge because the box will clash or something. I'm probably not explaining this to well

But I don't know how to really use it or what I'd use it for. I never learned it in math, besides in like 4th grade when we just called it a remainder. I'd never heard the term "modulus" until Axe. Also, about the screenshot. It looks great 1253

Well 2007 was the version, I believe, that switched to the "Vista-like" look where its all slick and snazzy. And in 2007 if you go to the "Insert" tab on the far right there is a equation and symbol one.

Math and Science / Re: Equation editor« on: September 13, 2010, 07:41:03 pm »Yes i did, it's amazingly useful. Wish i had known about it a long time ago. It should just be on the original post of the spriter's thread. Here it is. And related to guy's issue, I have Word 2008, and when I first used it, it had the "Insert symbol" choice in one of the menus (I think), but after messing with it for a few months, it seems to have disappeared. Anyone know about this? What do you mean exactly? 1255

Another idea would be to move the options on the sides in a bit that way you might be able to have a cursor that surrounds the word or something, Might be a little tricky with it so far to the edge if you wanted to do that.
Edit: Ya, v0.0.6 did have sprite support. 1256
The Axe Parser Project / Re: How quick is Axe?« on: September 13, 2010, 07:31:49 pm »
Ya, it's crazy fast. It's basically what Nemo said though. Axe is technically just as fast as assembly since it is compiled into it. The reason it can appear to be a little slower is because the routines are generalized for overall game making, again like Nemo said. What could take a few lines in assembly (this is strictly concept, not example) since it is directly for the purpose of the game might take a twice as much in Axe since the manipulating is using multiple things to create the effect.

Ah ok. That explains it. Did you get Deep Thought's website working right?

That looks great! Very cool. Only couple things I see is that the cake could be a little bigger so you can add more detail. I didn't know it was cake until I saw that original picture. Also, the "flying" man looks a bit off but its fine. Good job

I'm assuming you're working with a Microsoft Word that is before the 2007 version?
