Axe / Re: sprite/grayscale tutorial?
« on: July 18, 2010, 06:19:55 am »
I think he's putting that off for a while, though.

I should probably start rounding up the Axe tutorials and then put them in my tutorial thread...

That'd be helpful. Where is your tutorial thread?

Ya, I wouldn't be surprised with all he has going on plus that Axe isn't finished yet. Was just saying that something is being worked on :)

And it is right here. I should ask someone to sticky it somewhere. If people keep on contributing to it, it could be a very useful thread for people.

Ah ok. I just looked through and saw syntax and wasn't sure how much would have changed is all. Thanks :)

Ya, I like them both too. Haven't seen or read either in a while (well I take that back, I read OneManga for Naruto but I am way ahead of where I am in my collection...:P). Both are quite good I think.

As for the dub/sub debate, both can be very good and both can be very bad. (Unless done by the creators of a show because they should know what is being said.) I'm just saying that not everything is perfect when it comes to translating. (An example of this is how the Bible has been translated many, MANY, times and I doubt one matches the others (whether just a minute change or a very drastic change). Point being, both are good but both can be bad too. Sorry, just my two cents.

As for voice acting, not really the actors fault (unless they are like just bad (like a monotone the whole time)) because they are given the script that was written by someone else.

Hey Sir, any chance of this thing maybe getting updated or anything? Just curious :)

Hey Eeems, have you thought about updating the tutorial for the new versions of Axe? I just wasn't sure if there was any syntax or anything that has been outdated.

Um, I think Sir has been working on a tutorial/help document (or at least was) a few weeks ago but I don't know where that thread is. Other than that I haven't heard of many things really.

I should probably start rounding up the Axe tutorials and then put them in my tutorial thread...

Edit:
I actually found Sir's document thing, though there really isn't anything usable right now. Here is the topic.

Depends on how big it is probably. Nice concept though, I'll test it out later.

OMG! You're right, it does look like that. Only difference is that this looks more like a tunnel instead of a different shapes. I kind of like that idea. Might be hard to implement though.

Ah ok, well there goes my idea lol. Someone should build a new BASIC program to app program that does multiple pages and doesn't slow stuff down. That could be useful.
