Ya, I got a four mini-game game pack type thing going on since I couldn't think of many bigger game ideas that involved only one button. I even have a system of making the game selection process with only one button too I have two games so far, a homescreen and a graphscreen. The homescreen game is like the helicopter game where you're constantly falling but keep pushing the button to stay up, though only the "bottom" changes (however you can't just keep pushing up either because if you go "up" to far you lose too ). Then the graphscreen game is where you are a pixel that is constantly moving towards the wall, leaving a trail behind you. Each time you push the button you turn ninety degrees counter-clockwise and the objective is just to survive as long as you can without hitting yourself or the walls.
I still need, ideally, one more homescreen game and one more graphscreen game. 318
TI-BASIC / Re: Ti-83+ Ti-Basic: Fastest Way to get the Graph Screen to redraw itself« on: December 17, 2010, 12:37:49 am »
Well depending on what is being used you can also just call any of the window adjusting commands and that will force redraw it too. So unless your graphics rely on the coordinates you could use those too.

Art / Re: Cage Match Userbar Template« on: December 17, 2010, 12:32:53 am »
Nah, I didn't have anything very important. Or at least nothing that I couldn't get back again. I don't really know what caused the crash. All I know is that somehow a couple rogue programs got on to my computer, in other words...viruses, and were shutting down execution rights and such. Had to restart my computer but it wasn't booting properly so I just said "Screw it, I'm starting over." So I just did everything over again. I don't even know how the viruses got on my computer. I haven't been to any suspicious sites or anything.

Well last night I had to completely reformat my computer so I lost all my template work (wasn't much but still a pain to lose it...). I'll still try to get it all done this weekend but no guarantee.
And actually I was just gonna host them on {AP}'s image thing and then just send them to the winner's via private message but I'll talk to you later about what you'd like and see if we can do that or something. 321

Ok, well I'll leave the poll up until 12:00 AM Saturday MST at which point I'll lock it and continue to make the template. At this point it looks like most people are going for Option 5/2 though.

TI-BASIC / Re: Fun with strings!« on: December 15, 2010, 09:18:26 pm »
Are you talking about the link that Finale gave? You could do checks for all of them but string and number and if it gets that far then you do that check to decide which it is.

I was looking for that! Thanks, Finale. I thought it was on TIBD though but oh well, at least it was found.
From what I understand he is trying to get the user to input something, a list, a string, a number, a matrix, or whatever, and then he stores it into u (for a reason I don't understand because it acts like a string except it outputs a number...) and then runs u through a series of tests to test what it is (a list, matrix, string, number, etc.). 327

So you want to test a string if it is a string, number, list, matrix, or something else?

Ah ok, that's what I thought you meant However didn't you say that word wrapping on the homescreen would be the same as with Output(?

What do you mean? I don't understand what you're asking for really.
But ya, as DJ said you can't have a quotation mark inside of a string unless you do a lot of tricks. 330

Hmm, I don't think I really understand the first note Like you can offset a negative value to display but you can only see what would be on screen?
