Math and Science / Re: English homework: calculator ad

That looks quite nice ScoutDavid.  How did you go about making that? Did you just use the blur feature, or was it a built in effect. It looks more like a built in effect/theme to me.

I think it is the watercolor filter or something like that from Photoshop.

Also, if there is a file extension not supported or something like that you can always put it into a  zipped file and upload that (unless DJ has a problem with that, not sure if that's violating anything; was just a on-the-spot idea).

Other Calculators / Re: Maze Generation Program - BASIC

What algorithm do you use? It looks very interesting, and fairly fast!

*cough cough*

Might as well upload one of my old BASIC creations, especially since someone's made an Axe one ;D
This one is based on Eller's Algorithm (http://www.astrolog.org/labyrnth/algrithm.htm#perfect, scroll down a bit)
When you start it it asks for four numbers: How long it should be (X), How wide it should be (Y), and chances for carving vertically and horizontally (give as a decimal, not a percent ;))
I'm sure if Weregoose looked at it he could find numerous optimizations :P
It can generate a full-screen maze in a few minutes.
I've included two screenshots: one of it generating a 48*32 maze (for the impatient among you :P) and one of a full maze.
Enjoy! (Yeah, it's slow, but whatever :P)

;)

Edit:
Damn, ninja'd :P

That's pretty cool. I didn't know someone made an Axe map generator though ??? Good work on it though :)

Well using non-graphing calculators is actually really useful because then you don't get so dependent on all the functions and such. You learn to do it the long way and get a better understanding of how all those tricks and such work, along with how graphing calculators do it :)

So quite frankly I'm starting to just get to the point of being lazy at trying to read posts since it's past midnight here :P But I skimmed and this is looking really great! Keep up the great work on it :)
