Ya, I figured since it's a homescreen match (not much you can use libraries for, I don't think, on the homescreen). I'm just saying you might want to for when you get into graphscreen matches, like have separate categories, because conflicts can arise if one person knows only Pure TI-BASIC and the other starts to use a library to achieve better graphics or something.
And ok, that's fine. I was just letting you know. 649
Other Calculators / Re: Simple yet useful virus« on: October 28, 2010, 06:38:17 pm »Code: (Optimized) [Select] ClrHome Phew, been awhile since I've messed with any code. But I think that's as optimized as it gets. I believe it gives the same results, more or less, but I never tested and I couldn't compare because the file you uploaded doesn't work. (I'm going to guess you modified it with SourceCoder?) For loops, ya, you need to manually increment the variable and have a closing End command. So... Code: [Select] DelVar AWhile A<5 ...should work. 650

Could also type the code out by hand

Sounds interesting. I can judge probably when you want me too (just send a PM when you need me too and I'll see) but I can only judge TI-BASIC matches, or at least that's all I want to right now. As for competing I will participate in the TI-BASIC field.
Just for clarification between languages would people be opposed to start referring to 83/+/84+/SE BASIC as TI-BASIC and Nspire BASIC as Nspire-BASIC or N-BASIC? Just thought that might clear some confusion up. Also, I wouldn't talk about the Nspire at all really because that did kinda confuse me at first. It just kind of sounds awkward to me since I would think it's kind of implied. But that's just me, I don't mean anything rude by it. Also, would it be to hard to split TI-BASIC up into two sub-sections? Pure TI-BASIC and Hybrid TI-BASIC? Because if one partner knows how to use xLib and such and the other contestant doesn't that could cause issues. (If you do this, I can only participate in the Pure TI-BASIC category.) Also, good luck to the current contestants. 652

Ya, I think each userbar should be custom made for each competition. That way you can show which ones you've won and such. If I get time I shall try to create another one.
Good luck you guys! 653
Miscellaneous / My Activity« on: October 28, 2010, 05:10:53 am »
Ok, so I figured it was time that I just kinda finally got around to telling everyone what's up lately. As many of you may have noticed I haven't been to active lately. Well that's kinda true and kinda not, I'm here just not really posting and not checking stuff very much (which means there's a lot I've missed, I'm sure).
Well, for the past couple weeks have been really rather hectic. I have been the Tech Director for my former high school to be in charge of building the set for the fall musical (for those of you who care, it was Anything Goes (music written by Cole Porter) and it all went quite well with performances). Well that was causing a lot, and I mean A LOT, of stress on me and that's why some of my posts may have seemed a bit rash or rude or something (such as the one about defending RuneScape and such). (Again, I deeply apologize for that and all.) The reason for the stress was mainly due to the fact that we were falling way behind and a lot needed to be done, and I ended up spending a lot more time doing things than I should have. But, things got finished, sort of, and the shows went great (ya, there are the things that went wrong *cough*sugar glider in the theater*cough* ) and we got the set taken down and all Saturday night after the show. So now, yes the musical is all over and such but I'm afraid that my activity here will still remain a little static since I have a lot of stuff to sort out and get taken care of. I will still be here however checking stuff and such. If I get in a Cage Match, depending what the challenge is and all, I still will hopefully take it and ya. I just wanted you all to know kinda what's been going on and why I haven't been here much lately and just to let you know that though I may not reply much I'll still be here and all. I just don't know when I'll be getting more time and such (probably just when I decide to stop being lazy and actually get shit done ). But yup, I think that's about all. Thanks. 654
Pokémon Purple / Re: [PP] Progress '10« on: October 26, 2010, 05:32:09 pm »Are those sprites displayed with a BASIC program, btw, or are they displayed with an ASM routine? I think somebody around here, with the help of others, managed to have complex sprites show up using line() commands, after being generated from a program. I wonder if it's very large, though... Ya, I'm the one who helped MRide with the compression/decompression of the sprites. I wrote the different routines I made here. 655

Tweaked the userbar again to this. It looks like people are going with nemo's though.

I think that is kind of what Miotatsu's BasiC++ is. I'm not entirely sure though. There is also FreeBASIC that has similar syntax to TI-BASIC and can get similar things but I don't know how similar effects work and such.

Ya, it's just the TI-83p Mini Sans font. I don't remember where I got it though I feel like it came with like TI-Connect or something. What did you want to do with it, Nemo? Just curious 'cause it might be easier for me to edit it to what you want since I have the actual .psd document on my computer with the layers and all in it.
