Ah, i see, that makes a lot more sense, well, ill give compiling another go maybe, and see exactly what error I ran into, it had to do with the nspire-ld component not working.

General Calculator Help / Request: Post a pre compiled dev version of Ndless 2.0« on: February 22, 2011, 02:06:01 pm »
Hey,
I dont know if these is against the rules to ask this (I apologize if it is), but can someone who figured out the infernal setup of the development environment for ndless post a working precompiled copy for download? I have tried following the compile directions, and got all of the tools set up(YAGARTO and the like), and it sort of compiles, but comes up with errors and fails to finish. I see no reason why one of the devs cant just post an unstable copy (yes, i know that frequent changes are made, but any copy of the Ndless 2.0 is better than no copy). I am sort of getting sick of dealing with OS 1.7 on my Nsipre and having to use the ugly mismatched clickpad (a petty complaint, i know). Is anyone willing to do that for those who lack the time, patience, and luck to successfully compile it themselves? 64

Hey, im trying to compile ncaster for my calculator on a linux/windows system. However, i cant figure out what to do, i tried using the make command in LInux Mint, however, it doesnt work.
There are no instructions on how to compile this included, other than to use the make command, and that I need arm-elf-gcc, which i cannot find anywhere, much less figure out how to install it. Also, when i just transferred the included .tns file for my calc, it just caused it to reboot Does anyone know where to find it? 67

ok, im trying to downgrade os 2.0 on my newer nspire(came with touchpad), to os 1.7. What i tried doing was deleting the os from the maintenence menu, then installing os 1.7 from the linking software.
However, this failed, and the linking software refused to install os 1.7, saying that i couldnt downgrade below my current version. I just tried nleash, but it isnt working either. What do i do? 70

Ok, so to downgrade, all i have to do is go to the maintenence menu(kinda like DFU mode) and delete the OS, then use the TI linking software to install 1.7. I already have the files for OS 1.1-2.1 on my PC, so finding OS 1.7 isnt a problem. Where do I download gbc4nspire? COuld anyone provide a link? I just ordered a clickpad off Ebay, and I want the emulator ahead of time.
Huh, I always seem to be getting the worst versions of these calculators for homebrew. First my Ti-84 cant run ti boy, and now this. Ah, well, doesnt seem too difficult to do. 73

yeah, my main concern about ndless is that gbc4nspire wont work in 1.7, does anyone know if it does? Also, since all of my expertise is in the iPhone jailbreaking world, I have no idea how to downgrade in the first place.
Thanks for the fast responces. 74

I just got a Ti Nspire Touchpad(non CAS), which came with OS 2.0 preinstalled. Does this mean I can get a clickpad separately and can use it instead of the annoying touchpad? I would also like to downgrade to OS 1.7 in order to use Ndless, and I know that OS 1.7 wont work with the touchpad. Is that all I would have to do to get Ndless working on my Nspire?
Any advice appreciated! |
