TI Z80 / TokenIDE Open Sourced
« on: October 23, 2015, 12:19:16 pm »
I've made my repo for TokenIDE public, and released it under the WTFPL license.

https://bitbucket.org/merthsoft/tokenide/

This does not mean I won't be working on it, but I've been so busy with other things lately that I don't want it to be yet another editor that dies off without anyone having the source.

Why not just use xLib's draw string method?

I made a tool to do this a while ago:
http://merthsoft.com/binsprite.html
And, of course, TokenIDE can do it, and countless other tools.

Oh, I see. I didn't know Gameboy Color was even supported!
It's not. Pokemon Silver can run on the original Game Boy.
Haha, oh. Apparently I just don't know anything :P

I used direct USB with no problems. I sent Zelda and Pokemon.

7
Yeah, I wasn't able to save in Pokemon Blue. In Zelda it did save, though.

Figured I'd post the video I took over here, too:
Here's a video of me playing Pokemon:

The quality isn't that great, and I had to record in portrait mode, but it gets the idea across. Something I noticed, though which is evident if you watch the video the whole way through, is that it seems to slow down a bit.

Do you absolutely need to do it in Axe? You should be able to do it with ReadLine and WriteLine in the Celtic III libraries if you don't mind doing it in BASIC.

Wow, it's been a while since I posted here. I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that there's been lots of progress for xLIBC support! You can edit BG pics and tiles, and all the tokens are up to date. You can also edit hex sprites for the DCSE sprite support! Get the most recent download at ticalc.org:
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/433/43315.html
Or, of course, my server:

Here're some screenshots!
