I just watched the video, so whats up with the non-existant product ID on the calc? Did you just play a video created with nspire_emu? Depending upon the OS, the product ID is just printed on the next line. I've made 2 nspire_emu animated screen captures, and I've concatenated them.
Levak did the rest (mapping the animated screen captures on a Nspire screen), and will probably gladly explain all that.
Very nice!

The current development version is "trying" to run allready decrypted OS images, like shown on the video.
Decrypting the OS on the fly would be much harder.
Thats what I guessed. Awesome. I just watched the video, so whats up with the non-existant product ID on the calc? Did you play a video created with nspire_emu, or was it a string edit? That's a very convincing video! And somewhat unrelated, I am setting up the C development environment for my nspire, what emulator should I use? nspire_emu_051 or Ncubate?

OSLauncher is under development. The video is fake.
Well, I knew OSLauncher was being worked on, so I didn't even watch the video (I did note the day you placed the news article, though, that did confuse me) As long as it's not too easy to place CAS on a regular nspire it sounds awesome. Will it use dumped OS images or will it decrypt them on the fly?

I'm very disappointed at the 2011 April's fool day from ticalc.org. That's pretty lame...
Their previous April's fool days were great. Omnimaga has been great too.
And seems nobody noticed OSLauncher on TI-Bank: http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=news&ac=commentaires&id=1029
Did you all "believe" it?...
I believe OSLauncher is "real", yes. That it will be "released soon" not so much. Make it not run CAS on non-CAS nspires by default and it should be fine. The Prizm burning was awesome, though. What were the previous ticalc.org pranks?

I have a DSLR. Very nice.I've been meaning to get one someday when my crappy old Cannon Powershot A570IS gives out, although I shouldn't bash it too much, with CHDK it can take RAW images, and has automatic/manual dark frame subtraction. (Very useful for astrophotography) I took the macro photo with a regular lens plus a 25 mm extension tube. Macro photos like that require a tripod and getting awkwardly close to the ground. Yup, I'm familiar with that At least it's only really annoying on muddy days.

I like taking photos aiming directly into a light source, which doesn't mix well with HDR (it exaggerates lens flare exponentially).
1 second @ f/29 ISO-100, 70 mm macro
That's great! What camera do you use? It's not photoshop, it's Paint.NET, but still edits photos
When I first got my digital camera, I also happened to have one of those fiber optic light toys. I discovered the effect you get when you take the picture from the top (near the ends of the threads). This one in particular was blue. In my programming teacher's classroom at school there was a photo editing program..."fireworks" I think. So I opened the pic and played around with the hue. I have like three-four variations of this photo now.
I then imposed my original avatar over it, and got the result below.
Not amazing, but hey, first time
That turned out awesome for your first time. All of the photos I posted are pretty lame (I mainly just took them to enhance them in photoshop), I'll take/post some better ones as soon as I can get around to it.

How about a song worse then Friday. (Am I the only one who thinks Rebecca Black sounds just like Bieber? As in "Friday, friday, friday oooooh, thought you'd always be mine") Anyway: Need something to get that crap out of your mind? Try this: (Truly Epic)

TI cares and all of that useless filler stuff. We recommend that You purchase the most expensive calc we make, as it someday may be more oriented to programming... more useless filler stuff. We are sorry for any inconveniences regards, [insert TI staff here] Not any harder for them to say.

I bet there is a developer at TI laughing, whether or not TI is involved And all the rest are probably swearing, whether or not TI is involved.
Probably. Just imagine: "D***it, another angry kid complaining about something we didn't even do!"..... A great prank, really. It gets both us and TI. Also, if it was real then wouldn't TI just leave it up and tell us programmers to get lost? I see no reason for them to remove a working OS update from their site. They didn't care about the downgrade protection in Nspire OS 2, they wouldn't care about the loss of programming on the 84.
