News / Re: OSLauncher, LUA to TNS converter and TI document player

Well, the running OS (Booted normally or OSLaunchered) depends on some files in NAND that OSLauncher dosen't change, so different versions of OSes won't work perfectly. (Like OS2.0.1 Booted and 1.7 OSLaunched)

On April 1st, TI-BANK posted a video showing what was supposed to be OSLauncher, the equivalent of Boot2Launcher and DiagsLauncher, but for TI-Nspire OSes. The video was an April Fools joke, but with the release of DiagsLauncher and Boot2Launcher not long before, it was inevitable that OSLauncher would eventually become a reality. Today it did and it has been released in TI-BANK archives! This extra file is required to use it.

OSLauncher can be useful, for example, if you absolutely need OS 3.0 to run tns files that are only compatible with it or to use 3D graphing, but that you still need the ability to run Ndless, which requires an older OS. Basically you can have multiple OSes on your calculator at once!
Sadly, running OS3 on OS2 give some problems right now.

Other Calculators / Re: Company(organization) that creates software

I usually just add Omnimaga in the thanks. Adding Omnimaga to the copyright or something like that could work too. We don't need an official organization or anything, we are more about bringing people together :P

Dude, your avatar:

IMO, making an Omnimaga company would he a huge hassle with no benefit for those involved, and could create substantial "problems".
(Sad truth, sorry.)

Can't we just say "Team Omnimaga" or something?

Ah, ok didn't know this, thanks for correction me :)
It's how we learn :)
If you are interested, http://hackspire.unsads.com/wiki/index.php/OS_upgrade_files has more info on tno/c files.

I don't think they are encrypted in the first place.
They are just singed with a signature that protects the calc from running ones with invalid signatures.
(again, can be wrong in this)
The TI-Nspire.img in a tno/c is encrypted.

You can run any hardware-compatible OS.
They're not checked before being run, so you don't have to bother with the RSA 1024-bits key :P

So, you can run third party OSes or modified TI OSes for example. ^^
Sweet.
I'm still compiling ndless...
The OS needs to be unencrypted, right?

It worked about as well as the ones I made :)
(I'll post it as soon as I make a gif. Getting used to GIMP takes some work)

Thats so awesome. It really works. (Even if I'm colorblind)

Thanks :D
Here's another one:
(DJ would it be better if I uploaded these to imageshack or my own site and linked them here with the [ image] tags to save Omni some bandwidth?)

Don't you love optical illusions?
(I suppose I should make a trippy gif thread instead of posting these all here...)

lol guys, there is only one web rendering engine on iOS, webkit. So while you can have alternate browsers (Atomic, skyfire, 360, etc.) they all render the page just like mobile Safari.

It was interesting to watch. I would put it in a spoiler if I was you with a warning so people who want to avoid it can. I didn't mean to imply that you needed to take it off
Thanks, I'd hate it if it physically bothered someone.

Darl, here's another, less freaky one:
