I am really liking Nethams banner, i suggest we use it. The only thing it is missing is rainbows and/or rick astley riding a unicorn

this has me curious now, if the ti fonts are copyrighted then does that mean i am not allowed to use the font i made for BasiC++? most of the characters are sprited exactly the same as the 84+ font, I know we can't really trust TI when it comes to legal knowledge, but i want all my stuffs to be legal... also i hope the banner and everything can be used in the end, they are epic :{O

edit: nevermind

yeah thats what i mean, i am thinking if it doesnt work out i may break off from the BasiC++ project and do my own thing
and yeah the current plan is that every time one of us updates it and we are both actively working on it that we will send the updated source to the other

yeah, i think that the scanner itself is okay, but something is glitched up along the line there, if i can i will see if i can get it to work connected to this laptop, and maybe run the software for it with wine, or find some third party alternative... I will have to ask my parents first though, it is their scanner, seeing that it is useless in the state it is right now though i think they will be okay with the idea

It is still a pretty open topic right now, so i will definitely consider such things, one major issue though is that right now it is a team project plus it is on hold, once i do get to working on it as a main project there is the issue of conflicting coding styles, so far i do not know if pifreak will be able to put up with the way i don't indent code and do not comment and stuff like that, also i have kind of considered breaking off, and creating my own completely based on the original idea, only time will tell how this project will turn out, but i have high hopes :)

thanks! I am making the script in comic format so i considered uploading a page a day so people could read along with my work if they didn't mind the spoilers, but the scanner is broken and my webcam isn't good enough quality :(

taking the cube apart is the best way to go, you don't ever want to take off the stickers unless you want to either buy a new cube or buy replacement stickers.
also it is fairly easy to take apart and put back together when you know how

to take apart:
turn one side half-way so that it is not lined up with the rest of the cube
pull out one of the middle pieces from the side you just turned
wiggle out all the other pieces

to put back together:
match up a row and slide it into place where it should properly go
slide in pieces around it building up the first couple layers so that it will be stable without holding it all together
finish up the last rows with corner pieces first, then you can just snap the middle pieces in nice and easy

also it is good to lube the cube while your at it, but with something non-erosive, Vaseline will eat away at a cube, but it does make it nice and easy to turn, much better alternatives out there are like silicone spray or something like that
also sanding down the cube can have nice results but it is very time consuming and if you do not lube it, it will be scratchy sounding as you turn it because the surfaces are all gritty

the reason the big cubes are curved is because the inner pieces need to remain in contact with other pieces or it will fall apart when you turn it, a naturally flat cube of such a large size does not have this property and thus it has to be warped
