yes the calc version of piworld is still fully backed up, the only projects i lost were the following: Piworld PC, BasiC++, Trillcron, and a xp calculator for the game SAO written in BrainFuck, Trillcron and the xp calc were not posted here tho. I also lost some logs, some music, and some games, but thats pretty much everything. I am kind of excited to get a fresh start on all my projects tho, having that past programming experience will definetly make for better results in the end, plus this whole ordeal has really reminded me of the importance of making multiple backups and frequently saving

I regret to inform you all that my hard drive was wiped from an accidental format, i was unable to recover my projects and will be starting them over from scratch, new topics will be made for each project and the old ones locked. luckily this is not as bad as it sounds, i probably have Piworld PC on my other computer, and Pifreak still has the original BasiC++ source, so when i say starting over from scratch that is a bit of an exaggeration. However i may/may not start them over from scratch anyway for various reasons.

i have been slightly less active because i decided to work on mastering brainfuck and writting an SAO xp calculator with it, and now i can't stop until i finish :X sadly i did not back it up often and it got deleted when my computer restarted itself to install updates ;.; however it was a good reminder to me to keep my projects backed up frequently and all in all it will just give me more time to learn brainfuck which will make me a better programmer overall also i have a study hall this quarter and that means that you can expect to see some progress on piworld again soon (the calc version)

i like the second to last one, but personally i think the best option would be a lobster shadow growing from the center till the screen has been fully wiped to black, if you get what i mean :X

yeah, im sure they feel that since calculator haxxorz feel safe haxxorizing their OS because they never update it themselves that maybe if they update it they can somewhat keep control of the situation

yes i suppose there would be a very large appeal to play a game in which you need to mount an egg with an egg until one explodes in a big egg orgy on a graphing calculator while bored in class :X i suppose the deciding factor for a species to be intelligent is the point in which it is able to produce portable 8 lvl greyscale egg porn

I think it is supposed to be like: Once upon a time there were 7 little eggs: Jerry, Bob, Joe, Lenny, Carl, Jim, and Jeremy Jerry was a fine young lad and decided on one fateful summers eve to talk to Bob. He said to Bob, "Hey mate, how would you like to get out of here, i have heard rumors that the master wants to break our shells and bake us into a cake and eat us" Bob: "what?!?! that is a horrible thing to say Jerry, how can you even think such things?!" Jerry: "but Bob, it is true, we have to get out of here..." Bob: NO, I don't know what has gotten into yo-" Bob paused as he saw the master walk by holding an egg "THUD THUD THUD" Bob: *gasp* Jerry: You see!, we have to tell the others! Scene 2: Jeremy: NO! I DON'T CARE, I WILL NEVER LEAVE HERE!" Bob: Don't be like that... we all have decided to go, you don't want to be left alone do you? Jeremy: I DON'T CARE I DON'T CARE I DON'T CARE Bob: Very well then, good bye...Jeremy... Scene 3: Jerry, Bob, Joe, Lenny, Carl, and Jim are running away, nightfall has just set in and they have made camp Jerry: Well then, i guess I'll be off to bed Bob: I am Horny. Jerry: ... Joe: I am also Horny. Jerry: ;.; Lenny: I too am Horny. Jerry: :O Carl: as am I. Jim: I could Get into that... Jerry: ... o.o Bob: Very good then, lets do it! Jerry: I think I am going to pass Bob: no Jerry...It is not an option... Scene 3: After the Ordeal... Bob: Oh god oh god oh god, I didn't mean to kill him i swear Jim: shit man shit, what are we going to do Joe: Guys...Lenny and Carl died as well Bob and Jim: SHIT Scene 4: Jeremy meets up with the gang Jeremy: GUYS Jeremy: I have decided to join yo-...where is Jerry...and Lenny and Carl....? Bob: Oh good you are just in time, we were just about to do it again, but Jim is busy burying the bodies Jeremy: ... o.o Scene 5: Jeremy: SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT Jim: hey man, whats up i just finished burying those bo- AHH Jeremy: look man, i, i swear it was an accident, i just pushed a little to hard, you know Jim: I already had to get rid of bodies, this time its all you man Jeremy: can't you at least help with one? Scene 6: Morning Arrives Jeremy: Ah, I forgot how beautiful and warm the sun is Jim: Yes let us bask in its warmth, but do not stare into it anymore, you will go blind, Jeremy Jeremy: OH GOD I CANT SEE WAIT WHA Scene 7: Jeremy and Jim are basking in the sun Jim: hmm i am feeling pretty hot, we should stop soo-AHHHHHHH *BOOM* Jeremy: Wha..what happened..Jim...Jim?...JIM?!?!? personally rather than putting a warning i would just make 2 versions of stuff, one for the old OS's and one for the new, but hopefully someone patches this OS so it is as epic as it should rightfully be

i rip the characters one by one from the string, convert them to their ascii equivelent, and then reference an array to get the number of how many iterations the loop will need to go in order to be at the location of the character in the image, it then draws a rectangle around the character, blits the character onto the screen, and then moves onto the next character until all have been blit, finally it flips the screen, showing the pretty little message the user entered. :{P
