Well, xlib has FG capacities and all so all the game can be in the archive and moved into ram for map loading at a by need bassis. And if dungeons had things like skullantualas or side quests in them, going back would be worth while

comming, but problem is that every door, chest, one of a kind item, ect must be acounted for...for EVERY dungeon and all...and I want to have a single list to save all major things to prevent cheating and all (can't cheat if you can't read it and it has sum checks)...each door takes 1-2 bytes if you didn't chunk them and it would quickly become quite...difficult to store everything. A final idea is that again use very few locked doors, like one for a door to enter and exit a hub area of each dungeon "chunck" (a area you have to beat before another area, such as the last chunk would be the master room and the first would be where you get your first key...IOW, they force you to go linearly as is the case with zelda games) I am also thinking of trying to change the battle engine to something like this with zelda enemies and link...as it'd require fewer stats total and might be cooler overal (mmbnet style battles)

what do you want to know about xlib? How to make sprites, how to use tile mapping, how to do memory stuff (like Flash Gordon, but infinitely faster and more effecient) or such?

Well, if it were real time, you could possibly put in up to 3 (thats the most I ever reasonably managed, but on an SE)...but if you only had one enemy at a time, they could be very strong and difficult and smart
It is possible to have multiple group games at the same time, at least if they are short and simple games (not crapy, just not overly deep...say 4-5 enemies and 4-5 items types of deals)

well, we are going rpg, so...probably graphics and some planning if the project is complex. Hmmm...would it be out landish to suggest having a real time battle engine...one enemy, rpg? Perhaps something like Mega Man Battle network...but with the actual grid you fight on also be the enviroment in which their are houses and trees and such like in this mock up. Or perhaps something like that, but turn based with multiple enemies moving and all

Fistly: I suggest limitting saving to designated save points: ie, a inn or saria's house or a triforce floor panel in a dungeon. This would make things easier.
Secondly, a problem: big game will probably need lots of events and such...ram is limmited *Solutions 1. Dungeon Chuncking: Make dungeons have sets of rooms that you have to beat in chunks (so that you have to open/unlock everything in order to get to the next area, and as such...the whole progression through the area is stored as a single factor [if you got through it, all doors are marked unlocked as a group, and vice versa] 2. Limit locked doors, key locations, chests, events, and whatnots
I think that dungeon chunking is the way to go as if saving is limmited, right after a chunk you could put a save place and alow a new chunking area...and things like over world chests and heart containers should be rare

coments are our freinds when developing...that said, I am trying to standardise and modualise everything for maximum developing ease.
IOW:make everything as easy to read/code for as possible and plan for all user interactions, all ram usage, all saving(that'll be complex),etc and other magatorial planning type stuff. Off the bat, storing heart containers have been gotten and which chest open, what doors are still locked...will take a lot of work and planning. I posted on the issue in the secret forum, please discuss.
you NEED to archive all the pics, it is unavoidable, hope it doesn't slow it down to much for you

I keep getting either near a grunt grenade or get in front of an elite...either are lethal. Heroic isn't to bad...it showed me that needelers are awsome.

Problem is people are corrupt...if the government didn't restrict buisnesses youd still have children getting scalped in textile factories. Imho, government will be more accountable than buisnesses will be and as such, big government is better than big buisness. More so, if there were no BIG buisnesses, government would have fewer lobbies and be less corrupt.
Lobies are the ultimate evil...they cause alot of the problems we have in this world.

Err...democrat party is all about freedom for the people and controll of the big companies (generalisation of course), repubs are all about freedom of buisness and controll of the people. Republican party endorses patriot act while the dem oposes it. And anarachy is one of the most feeble concepts, it would never work, simple as that and would almost certainly end in a totalitarian rule. Personaly, I would like to see a common wealth sepratist system in which people form independent city states and create laws to serve the people, of course with a over all government that only creates broad laws. Of course, they'd need to prevent city's from going after each other, garantee a minimal level of freedom (speech, reproductive, religous tolerancy, anti-violence, a justice system which aims to fix problems instead of punish (seperation vs execution, rehab vs seperation, ect.), and a minimal level of inflation adjusted income regardless of working status. On the last one, I believe that if some one does not want a job then they should not die or be punished, they should just not be rewarded.
Some other beliefs of mine: entertainment is right, not a privelage for the afluent; trying to control peoples sexuality is trying to controll their minds and as such is a denial of freedom (though if one is sexualy 'sick,' they may need to be removed from a population hey threaton...but as humanely and respectfuly as possible); that 'bad' people are caused by a bad enviroment, and as such, society has the responsibility to prevent crimes not only by trying to remove and or treat/help the "criminal," but also try and prevent situations where criminal behavior will develop.

here a practice writing we had to hand write in class a bit ago... _______________________________ The story of G.W.Bush...there was a slightly mentaly dpraved boy, his dad wasn't bright but this boy made him look like a genius, well...one day he get an oil company and it goes bankrupt, then he gets another and another untill one is successful (all while recieving cash favors from his al queda funding saudi royal freinds) and also koins a company called carlyle group. They make guns and tanks and all kinds of devices for the destruction of human life...well, he gets way up there and noody knows how, but he becomes the president. Wow...and what does he do? Why he doesn't do much, he waits untill one semptember day, terrorists partialy funded his saudi freinds drive 3 planes into buildings and another into a feild. Bush, not willing to miss a golden opportunity, had a thing called the patriot act signed so he could torture people and spy indiscriminately. Well, he was a man with deep pockets...and I supose they weren't full enough with money, so he starts a war that kills thousands of American troops and hundreds of thousands of muslim civilians...no, not in Saudi Arabia...no, not in Afganistan...not even in weapon developing Iran...he attacks Iraq. You see, Iraq is full of oil and full of unstable religous groups which were ripe for the provoking. So, a war started and oil pumping, bush had amazing luck again! One of the supreme court's justices husband was dying! Yay, because she wanted to spend time with him bush got to install another right wing fascists into a life long position of power to help him and his freinds undermind the rights and freedoms of America! And then he got even luckier and the chief justice croaks...wow, now bush has two seats to fill with fascists. The sad thing is, the story isn't over yet! Bush still has sevral years to screw up this country even worse! Horay for tax breaks for the rich, horay for wars, and horay for freedoms being taken!
