I roll a natural 20 on a luck check.  Now it must be done.  Or else...I'll be sad.

Well, a new screeny for news of progress.  Got some music thanks to Kevin, recycled a few sound effects from cb to round the sound out.  As far as the game its self, got the orbs to fall properly (an alignment glitch used to make pieces get stuck on occasion).  You can see the cursor orb selector thingy (hmmmm, maybe that isn't catchy enough) on an orb, it spins slowly.  Also, the score very basically works on a per orb destruction basis but need to get the multiplier done.  Levels are also still buggy, and I need to play tweak it till it has the "feel" to it.  All in all though, this will likely be done soon.

It is possible but I have no skill at online type stuff.  If I figure out how to actualy get a connection to work, itd be a piece of cake (well, asuming no lag...but anyways).  Added a whole selection of diffrent orbs, few visual updates, some more cb progress, etc.  Should have a short break from classes in 2-3 weeks.

I think cb is epic enough of an amature game to desserve a two letter accronym, and its faster to write.  Anyways, I am also thinking about adding multiple game modes, and of course I will have highscores.  I am making music right now, and would say its about 50% done minus extras and polish.

Color and graphics are the last thing I am working on...and the shine is just a test for the bg effect image, there will be a ton diffrent background things going on eventually, including effects coppied from cb.

This is a work in progress game, I am trying to nail down the gameplay before I add an extra coat of pretty.  I have halted development to focus on cb and a few other games, when I resume work, I plan to make a new engine for it

necro wonders if microsoft and apple, if the idea pans out, would just make their own versions with the huge market share and resources behind them.

As of right now, I will probably try to go towards c++ if I can find the resources I need, but java is realitivly easy to program for and cross compile and I am a lot more familar with it so I am not sure.  I haven't realy figured out the extenet to which VB works but if it is more powerful than the the way the book is teaching, it might be conciderable to.

That said, I always program thing in GML first as I can use quite simplified resource management, fast debugging, etc. to get to a working code/proof of concept stage as it just makes life easier.  Problem is, gml isn't that great for a number of tasks, and is not OS independent.
