It's using the same installer as Win 7, which installs fine without a DVD drive. That error also occurs when it can't find your HDD due to some weird setup.

I test in Opera, so I know it works in opera. The code is simple enough that it should work in IE, too. I read a blurb about the status bar not being 100% reliable in FF, though.

It sounds to me like your keypad is going out. Either take it back to the store, or find another one online. Since you're still in warranty, I'd just take it in for replacement.

Denial of Service. Could mean a bunch of things, but it generally means spamming a server with so many requests that it can't respond.
A week or so ago, a bug on OmnomIRC made all the clients spam requests as fast as they could, resulting in almost 30GB of data transfer in a 4-hour period. That's why OmnomIRC was down most of the past week.

OmnomIRC was turned back on earlier, after a downtime of roughly a week. Since moving TIMGUL and such didn't take as much bandwidth as I anticipated, I was able to turn it back on earlier. Along with the bug that was causing it to flood the server with requests being fixed, it now updates text in the status bar!  Of course, the web chat will remain available for all who wish to use it at http://webchat.omnimaga.org or in the navigation bar of Omnimaga.
