You can hit alt+f4 on them and it'll close them. There's a bug right now where it just spits you out to a green screen, but you can hit your win key to get back to the start menu.

And, yea, you can dualboot 7 and 8. I have that set up right now.

There are esata+power ports, but they're rare. If there was an esata flash drive, it'd need either an AAA in it, or a USB cable coming off too, unless it just wanted to throw compatibility to the wind.

It's supposed to have the same requirements as win7 did.

I also failed to note that if you set the path var, you need to set it to <Java Folder>\Bin.

That looks to be a problem with the compilation process. Is it installed properly?

Also, MSVC++ has a really good debugger that's easier to use compared to GDB.

Not sure where you heard that it's not using NTFS, but it's running NTFS for me.

Booting an entire lab of 7 PCs off of the network sounds awful. D:

Also, juju, that's what your school gets for using software from the late 90's on Windows 7. :P

Fix your path variable to include the JDK before the JRE.

On windows, go to system properties -> advanced -> environment variables. On linux, alter your PATH variable.

The thing about simplifying it is that the new interface isn't mandatory to use. It's a keypress to get back to a classic desktop, where everything is available as you'd expect. I'm not liking the removal of the "classic" start bar, though.

The user can send anything to your server, there's not much you can do about it. They have to be trusted to some degree.

There's no failproof method, since the only part that knows that is the client. If you wanted to make your HTML file PHP, you could set a session variable to store it, but even that isn't 100%.

I don't think the nspire garbage collects, at least in the idea of how the 83P's do.

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: SSL
« on: September 06, 2011, 10:50:51 am »
I hadn't seen the edits to the previous post, so I overlooked it.

Due to the way that SMF and OmnomIRC, etc... work, they're not very SSL-friendly. OmnomIRC uses http://.. hard-coded in numerous places, and SMF wants it set to either HTTP or HTTPS in the config, and it returns links to pictures, etc... based off of what is in there.

I would move the site over to SSL, if not for the fact that an SSL cert costs so much. Making users get warnings about bad SSL certs seems like a bad idea.

I'll keep that in mind. I've been working off and on on an update, I'll try to get that into it.

Do you mean (Mozilla) Firefox 5.0? The Mozilla browser has been succeeded by Firefox.
Yes I mean Firefox 5.0 (but I have the 6.0 now ^^) Sorry I didn't knew there was a difference.. :/

Firefox used to be a stripped down version of Mozilla that didn't have all the features (Thunderbird, etc...) iirc.

As far as the message duping goes, I think I've came up with a way to stop it. I just have to get it implemented.
