A bit of a necropost, but I enabled SSL a while ago. The downside is is that certificates are expensive, so anyone visiting will be getting an 'Invalid Certification' message they'll have to ignore.

Lemme know if you need any help. I've got a bit of Android dev experience, and a fair bit of Java under my belt. I also doubt anyone knows OmnomIRC better than me.  When it's done, I'll throw it up on the marketplace for you, too. I'd also like to have a go at the source when you finish it, if possible.

I think what happened was is that he is basically prejudice against religion and some other things, like some people are against blacks, gays, etc... Eeems mentioned something about it to him, and he blew up on it.
From what I've seen, if there is something on the site that he doesn't like, he thinks everyone, or a large majority of people, think the same as he does, and he acts out against it as much as possible. Remember the MLP thread a month or so ago? He blew up at that and even threatened to leave until the thread was deleted/locked, just because he assumed that every single person shares his views on MLP.
TL;DR: He's just very close-minded. He seems to think that everyone else is either just like him, or the enemy, and therefore must be purged.

If you just do it in englih, then you can shorten it further by changing the name to 'New post by'.
Names are restricted to 9 or less characters, w/o spaces.

It's a free service, and I've only actually seen it down maybe 5 times since I started using it.
Edit: Looking at logs, it's been down a bit more. I'll see if I can't get it moved to something else.
Edit2: I should be able to use Omnimaga.org's domain w/ some trickery on the 404 page, or I could get a shorter domain through a pay service...
Edit3: I moved the DNS for it over to my server (Off of .tk's server), if that doesn't resolve it, I'll move it to Omnimaga.org.
Edit4: All seems to be good. Lemme know if it goes down again and I'll move it over to Omnimaga.org.

I'm sending the raw message to the highlights without proper color parsing. I'd rather not have colors in the highlights, but I will get at removing the color codes.
