If we have a computer program that can encrypt it, then we should be able to reverse it to make a program for us to encrypt it.

I didn't say it was amazingly fast, just that it's a little faster than Lua. Really, I want it for the awesome syntax :P not so much the speed.

Of course, you can't compare speeds of the two when you're talking about a whole different platform anyways.

The little bit I've done with LUA on the PC it was awfully slow, I couldn't even do a simple memory copy 30 times a second.

Yup. Basically, mIRC's logger doesn't do multibyte characters at all.

Could someone in his family have used his computer while he's away and got a virus? O.O

I dunno. I'm just trying to track down if it's his ISP somewhere or not.

but, on that note, when was the last time you scanned for viruses, ashbad?

I think I'm going to end up writing my own logger. =/

Ashbad, can you try it on another computer on the same connection?

He did already.

I think his ISP might be caching it somewhere down the line. You don't have any internet accelerators or anything installed, do you?

Yea, but these problems might be caused by two different versions of OmnomIRC loading at once.

Do you know the name of the company that provides your internet?

What kind of internet connection are you behind? I think they might be caching it.

I disabled the color for now, until I can get around to making an options page.

That's just spybot that does that.

Also, yea, mIRC logging only supports ascii, I'm trying to find a way to get unicode/utf-8 easially.

I've tried in 7 different browsers, and after the latest updates it wasn't until DJ blocked me from OmnomIRC that it would load correctly... I would prefer not to be blocked from omnom forever.  So, until it can be fixed, I can't use omnom :P

I don't wanna be rude, but it's kinda more important that you get it working for everybody before you keep adding new stuff -- just think if we started making games we create here available only for residents on the east cost of america -- and just add fancier stuff to it rather than allow the others to even access it.  How would those who live in europe or texas feel? :(

again, not trying to be rude.

You're the only person I've heard who's been having any issues getting to it.

Could you try hitting http://netham45.org/irc/efnet/view_omnom.php?log=omnimaga&trim=17 and let me know if it goes through?

Also, what version of what browsers, what OS, system specs, extensions, etc...?

I implemented colored names using X-Chat 2's coloring algorithm, but I'm not entirely sure if I like them or not. Opinions?

(You may need to clear cache/refresh to see them)

I added the username to the request to my server, it's all done on my end.

It's really small code, too.
