Just fixed the bots, didn't realize they were down.

Feel free to highlight me on IRC if they're down for more than 10 or so minutes, there's a good chance I've missed it.

Since Netbot45 is going in and out, I set the chan -m for the time being.

Everything should be back up and normal. If anything is awry, feel free to send me a PM on IRC/Omnimaga, or just post in here.

I don't believe I need to reboot for anything else, but I'm still keeping the 'maintenance' tag on everything this weekend.

Will #omnimaga still be up?
What's wrong with the server--does it need to be updated or something?

I'm updating to a later version of Windows on it(2008 -> 2008R2, equivalent to Vista -> Win7)

I'm having a real hard time imagining a real use for colors...

That's what I was thinking too, Runer. Little is added to communication through colors.

Bold and italic possibly, though Omnom doesn't support them at all currently.

(I'm liking making threads right now)

OmnomIRC is going to be going down periodically over the weekend(4/8-4/10), as I will be rebuilding my server.

I'll also be fixing the permissions so the people who I e-mailed the login credentials to the FTP server can actually get on, so that they may help with OmnomIRC too.

ODYA, OmnomIRC Down Yet Again.

Not a problem though, as long as it is fixed =D

Hey, at least it's planned this time, though on somewhat short notice.

It most likely won't actually go down until tomorrow, unless things go ahead of schedule.

Edit: I should also note that this will be affecting Spybot45 too.

Update: Ha, ninja'd that server move. I may have to do some tweaks and such over the next few days, but I'm not planning on any more major downtime.

Spoiler For Spoiler:
Unless you exactly know what you are doing, you should use TNOC to remove the boot2.
(there are things to update in the header)

If I remember well, a Linux version is included.

@Lionel, Yea, I missed where someone said that it didn't trigger that anymore(they got an invalid doc error)

They probably left the nleash-circumvented protection by virtue of not bothering to remove it.

Wouldn't that mean that the overflow is still there(and as such, a potiental way for ndless to be ported)?

Frankly, I'm tempted to visit both of their sites now, although I don't even own a PS3. Let them have my IP address. It changes daily (literally).

You visiting it wouldn't affect much, if you wanted to contribute you'd need to run some programs to do it with, which we'd be better off not going into detail about here.

That being said, it -IS- illegal to do such things, regardless of how justified, so keep that in mind.

My personal opinion is that it is fair. Sony abused the legal system for their own corporate greed, and committed quite a few viscous violations of privacy, globally.
