According to the HP China agency, the students of Beijing NO.15 Middle School tests the HP Prime in the last month. http://eduhp.cn/News/Detailed/80The article said that on June 12th, 2013, a summer camp named "Travelling Through Mathematics and Technology" supported by HP was held in Beijing NO.15 Middle School. In the summer camp, the HP Global Education Manager Tony introduced the HP Prime. (The translation might not be accurate at some point, but I think it's better than Google translation ) And yesterday, two testers appeared on cnCalc. http://www.cncalc.org/thread-9240-1-1.htmlhttp://www.cncalc.org/thread-9239-1-1.html [Blue Screen photo inside~] They reported that some DVTs are unstable while others are a bit better. They also mentioned the "Blue Screen", which reminds us the blue screen on NSpire Color. Mutiple-touch is still disabled. It seems that the biggest problem of the DVTs are they will be automatically turned off. And no settings can disable the feature. I think the DVT is more like a prototype with the pre-release version software. So hopping HP can do better on the production version.

The first pic showing Google and the 2nd one having a login screen immediately gave it away for me, so I wasn't fooled.
However, one thing I have to mention about the fx-ES calcs (not the fx-ES+ ones) is that they apparently all use the same hardware and all you need to do to switch the model number and functionalities is using a graphite pencil to fill the little dot things (I think they're called jumpers) on the calc motherboard. Graphite pencil lead is an electricity conductor, so basically you don't even need to do any soldering.
There is even a (French) tutorial at TI-Planet https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=4241
It's an quite old trick, and the hack can only be done on old VerA models, which are quite rare now. (CASIO knew that bug, so the company once set up an exchange program. Most of the people didn't know the fact so they just went to send their VerA and got an all-new VerB.) However, several hack can also be done on a VerB model. There is a video named "Hack your fx-82es VerB" on YouTube (It's uploaded by me!) telling you how to use a bug to upgrade an fx-82es to an fx-991es.

LOL... If you check that user group, you can discover a lot of people discussing "ASCII Spelling". It's NOT about programming in fact. It's a bug of CASIO fx-es plus series VerE that you can print ANY characters on the screen. So just have fun!

Check those attachments! You'll see the REAL POWER of a 15-dollar scientific calculator made by CASIO! -All photos are from fx-es(ms) user group. http://tieba.baidu.com/f?kw=fx-es(ms)

Well I am asking since the HP 39gII emu ran around 10000 times faster on the computer than the calc
Diameter did the classic N-QUEEN benchmark from hpmuseum. www.cncalc.org/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=90890.018s VS 0.4s About 20 times faster. Not bad.

Yes he used the J04. Thanks for your explanation critor Here are two possible ways to solve the problem: 1 Find out a syscall under boot 2 which can modify either manuf or ASIC. 2 Make nLaunch work. (IMHO nLaunch bypasses all the check of manuf and ASIC)

The new nsManager supports of switching the region code. But in the program, the function of switching a CM to a CX is disabled. So Zweb recompiled the source code and changed his CM into a CX, and flashed the Boot2 with RS232. So in theory the CM is a CX now (Also the link software detect it as a CX) ...However, he can install neither the CX OS nor the CM OS. The installation of nLaunch caused a reboot and stuck at 60% of the bar. The installation of a CX OS caused a "Missing ASIC user flag" error. After the 80E0 field of OS image was changed, which means the ASIC user flag matches, another error displayed... The installation of a CM OS casued an "Invalid program ID" error.
Questions: Is there a syscall of boot2 can modify the NAND? Or any other way to modify the NAND without an OS? What's wrong with the nLaunch? What does the Field ID in hackspire really mean? In fact the ASIC user flag found in the OS image is not at the 80E0 field.
ExtendeD, Lionel Debroux, Critor, Adriweb, nLaunch guy and others please help...

You can't install Ndless? Why?
But wait... you're using a CX CAS? Does the TI-Nspire CM prototype have CAS or not?
Yes I'm using a CX-C CAS from my brother. The CM prototype doesn't have a CAS. TI-LINK and the calculator itself all declare it as a 'CX-C CAS', however I do install a CM-C OS! And the latest version of ndless doesn't work Doesn't like on a normal NSpire, ndless won't be installed automatically after nLaunch boot the OS. And when I send the ndless_installer.tcc to my nspire, it reboots. However never can I send the *.tmc file since TI-LINK detect it as a CX-C CAS.

I used the nLaunchy and now the CX-C CAS is running the CM OS (Though it shows "CX-C CAS" in the about screen) But I can't install ndless. What should I do next?

Zweb got a CM prototype recently. However, without another CM we can hardly dump the OS. I and Zweb are in the same city so I can provide a CX and a prototype TI-XXXXXXXXXXX. Here are some ideas: 1. To install a CM OS on my CX (I tried with nlaunch and the latest ndless compatipled with CM but failed) 2. To modify the product ID and OS version of TI-XXXXXXXXXXX to receive the CM OS. (I don't know if it's possible) Any other ideas? Or we have to buy another CM?

Still remember the seller from Foshan who sold me the PLT-SHH1, FHH1 and SU1? He is back with seven SHH1! (Oh it's not ads ) This time, some of them has a partly broken screen, but not so serious. I have asked him to confirm wether they can be turned on. He may reply me tomorrow. Those prototypes seem to come from Hong Kong, then come to his hand. Here is the guide to upgrade OS 02.02.0701. http://www.cncalc.org/thread-8335-1-1.htmlUnfortunately, it is in Chinese. Just try Bing/Google Translate. If you can't download the files, leave me your email and I will send them to you.
