Here is another report: www.cncalc.org/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=8574
Still with production boot 1/2 and normal OS. However file transfer is still unavailable.
I am contacting the buyer and asking for the photos.

Other Calculators / Re: TI GTC is dying?
« on: April 04, 2013, 01:44:56 am »
I think GTC died a long while ago. I am surprised that it's no longer online, though, since the parent site, http://www.ti-fr.com , is still online and active. Thankfully that isn't lost forever, like Aichi's map editor and until a few years ago, FastRPL, because Archive.org had a copy of the old site and files: http://web.archive.org/web/20120228020626/http://gtc.ti-fr.com/

I have attached the downloads below in this post, in case they disappear forever too. If the author passes by or is notified of this, I or a staff can remove those files if they want.
Thank you DJ Omnimaga!

Other Calculators / TI GTC is dying?
« on: April 04, 2013, 01:10:27 am »
TI GTC is a great on-calc IDE&compiler for 68k calculators. However, I can't find an available download link now :( The official site gtc.ti-fr.com simply shows an error message.
Please give me a link available, thanks a lot!

Report:
This problem was solved by complete formating and reinstalling the OS.
But the cause is still unknown.

News / Re: TI bans community calculator emulation
« on: February 22, 2013, 06:37:34 am »
See, HP has released various emulators (hp15c, hp39gII, hp35s and so on) freely and officially on its website, while TI is trying to restrict community calculator emulation and sell the official emulator???

CASIO fx-9860/CG series are much more powerful than TI-83/84: higher resolution, faster CPU and higher precision accuracy.

Once more TI stands at the opposite of the community :(

PS. If TI is going to ban the jsTIfied, I think we can set up a server in P.R.China

Does this work on non-Chinese TI-Nspires as well?
Of course. It has a customized Chinese font.

TI-Nspire / DLiterature for NSpire: Chinese text reader (ndless required)
« on: February 16, 2013, 03:23:31 am »
Diameter, the author of Chinese text reader for CASIO fx-9860 series (which named DLiterature), now works on a Chinese text reader for NSpire!
Great thanks to the nice tools the community provided: ndless SDK and kArmTI. He even doesn't own an NSpire now!
Here are the screen shots!

Okay, I Google translated some of this, and saw this

Either Google translate confuses me, or they have soul searching math in China

Lol... That's quite a literary sentence: He just quoted a poem.

In August, 2012, TI China hold a math contest lasting two months. Competitors are required to use NSpire calclators to solve several math and physics problems.
http://education.ti.com/zh-CN/china/students/2012_summer_creative_math_contest/annoucement-and-rules

And the first prize is an iPad2!
Well the contest was already over on September 30th, 2012.

Let's see the answer given by the first-prize winner:

I think it's a quite amazing answer sheet.

Next time, if there are some contests, I will inform you!  ;D

Other Calculators / Black edition of NSpire CM-C CAS
« on: January 20, 2013, 12:57:52 am »
This model should have been found long ago...
The black one now has a CAS engine.
http://education.ti.com/zh-CN/china/products/graphing/npsire_cm-c_cas/features/features-summary

On taobao, the CM-C and the CM-C CAS have almost the same price.
The CM-C costs 980~1180 yuan (158~190 USD), and the CM-C CAS 1100 yuan (177 USD). (Unlike those very cheap NSpire Clickpad, here are the price from official TI agency.)

Hi, there's a report that the calculator sticks at the screen of "Loading Operating System", and the left top of the screen shows 2345F6U7. What happened? How to solve the problem? Thanks!

General Calculator Help / Re: Casio Scientific Calc Clone
« on: January 05, 2013, 11:44:46 pm »
There are so many CASIO clones in China, some of them even clone the diagnostic screen (press shift, 7, on at the same time, then press shift several times, it will show the hardware version and ROM version). However the clone models don't have the same bug on CASIO models which can cause an upgrade. (I mean, software bugs)
Interstingly, the fx-MS series seems still be produced. I thought CASIO has stopped producing them. Can you check the producing date?

I've translated the ReadMe of Ndless 3.2 switching pack into Chinese.
http://www.cncalc.org/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=8305
I think the ReadMe for CAS and non-CAS are the same except the extension of nlaunch, am I right? BTW, I think D6) :"If it's not the case, remove a battery and resume to C3." Should the C3 be D3?
