General Calculator Help / Should I buy a new TI??
« on: September 25, 2011, 05:50:35 am »
I have no idea what I should make with my TI 84+, now!!
nothing is working anymore!!
a few examples:

when I open the app-menu and scroll up, (so that I'm at the bottom of the list), every app will be "Finance" when I open it!!

everytime I open a ASM-program a Mirage-program or an Ion-program, my TI turns off and it's a ramclear (even if there's really no bug in code!!!!)  (means, that I can't try out my axe-programs anymore!!)

APPs which I've made with axe are displaying things, which I've deleted in the code, code-parts which aren't in the code anymore!!

self-test tells me "ROM FAIL"

I can't send any apps anymore from my TI to other ones (ERR:VALIDATION)

I've already had a few archieve-clears a few jears ago (when I was only coding in BASIC!!!!)

sometimes, my display is upside-down, and I can't fix it (always need to pull out battery)

I've already had ASM-codes in my graphs (Y1-Y0) after playing games (which were basic-programs!!)

I can't open the Midi-to-Axe-converted files (the player for it isn't working on my TI)

I wasn't able to make my Archieve larger for the nyancat-video!! (my TI ignored the program!!)

These are only a few of the things, my TI makes!!
I don't think There is another TI with a larger collection of errors!!
The only working thing is to use it for school (calculating nice numbers...)
But I'd like to code on it, too!!

I don't think TI will like it, because I've already used programs like "aboutnam", which aren't so good for your TI!
But should I send aboutnam to my TI again, to delete the text I addet into the "about"-screen and send it to TI after that?

or should I just buy a new one??

TI Z80 / Re: Water Surface Simulation

Why does the amount of water fluctuate?  Shouldn't it be impossible to create or destroy water?  Sometimes I can almost fill/empty the screen if I get all three objects in about the same spot horizontally and repeatedly go up, down, up, down.
Maybe it's just too realistic!!
If you move an object very fast and it will touch another object (water) while moving, it'll become warm!
If it'll be very fast, it'll become hot.
And so the water was too hot, and it's in the air (invisible)  ;)

Please make that game!!!

Yeah, but it's always making me very angry, if it freezes while compiling after working on the code for more than one hour!!

Especially if you compiled it the first time!!

I think noone will be angry if it will backup before - You can tell axe if it should backup or not.
What's better if it'll backup after??

O_o
You should make that in greyscale!!!

Better: Make a game of it!!

And then, with arrow-keys, it should be possible to controle a block at the left side. And you'll have to make enough waves to blow the enamys (ships, coming from the left side) away!!

Freyaday, yes, that would be great.
But it should always backup BEFORE compiling
(sometimes it freezes while compiling apps!)

Three things I would like to have in axe:

Axe should, after compiling an App, always check, if the new app exists, and if not, it should ask if it should try again, because axe made a mistake, or something like that!

And another thing is, that it should be possible to add a new line in a code
writing into the code of a program, a command like "newline(" is still missing
It should be possible to tell it "newline(20)" and it should add a new line after the 20th symbol in the code

A third thing:
A command like "GDB-grey("
It should be possible to show a GDB in greyscale, too. And it should be possible to controle, how dark every greyscale should be (like numbers from 1-10, 1 is white, 10 is black)
Because it's annoying if you have to try out, how often you must use DispGraph^r if you want to have a darker greyscale!!
Or if you neef one scrolling, and a non-scrolling greyscale-pic!!!

ASM / Re: The worst TI code I've ever seen
« on: September 18, 2011, 12:16:32 pm »
Er...
It's not really about the code (which I don't understand - I don't know ASM)
But what do you mean with paid apps??
So It should protect apps for which you've paid??? Why should I pay for an app? I can get everything for free, I want to have!!
And it should protect the apps. But, of what?? Of archieve-clears??? Of editing them???
