Lua / Re: Getting info from the local calc with Lua
« on: August 18, 2011, 12:35:22 pm »
You can get the current locale using [lua]locale.name[/lua]. It will return the locale in a two letter language code :)

As for the battery info and the serial number, I don't think you can.
Ok, thanks :)

Lua / Getting info from the local calc with Lua
« on: August 17, 2011, 11:24:28 pm »
Is there a way to get data such as the battey status, language, serial number, etc from the local calculator using Lua?
Its not for a particular game or program, I'm just curious.
Thank you very much!

Lua / Re: Lua Classes

Sorry, I'm still just a bit confused.
Let's say you created a class for a button. How would you initialize it so that you could actually draw it and do stuff with it?
Or let's say that you want to be able to create something on a keypress. How could you set it up so that, theoretically, you could continue generating objects infinitely?
I kinda tried to read the inspired-lua.org explanation, but Google Translate still sucks :P
Thank you very much!

Whoops, sorry Adriweb!
I was very tired when I typed that, so I must have typed Levak's name accidentally :P

The "HE DID THAT" line and the edit.
Sorry, just a bit confused :D
Because I didn't want to make a denouncement to someone and want to warn people to don't share the tns file. This is the goal of the "I don't say "HE DID THAT""
Then, after posting, I quickly checked the forum to find the "many project" I've mentionned I found only one (don't know where the other ones are), so I probably imagined them.
Oh, I understand now. Thanks :)

I've seen many projects that share the *.tns file.
But, one rule is "do not share the sources".
Lua sources are readable in tns files : just launch TI Nspire Computer software, open the tns file, copy the widget, dump the clipboard ... the sources are here ...

Since it is a general case, I don't say "HE DID THAT", just wanted to know what it is going to happen to them.

Edit : well ... I'm sure I'm wrong and the projects  in Lua that I've seen don't participate to the contest ... I just hope for them.
Errr... what exactly are you talking about? :P

TI-Nspire / Re: Pacman Lua
« on: August 15, 2011, 11:21:30 am »
Update: I fixed a couple bugs and added another level.
I have an idea to increase the speed of it, and I will let you know how it goes once I try it out :)
The newest version is also 3.0.2 compatible, but still a bit unrefined.
There isn't an instructions or about section yet, so don't bother clicking that.
Also, development is going to slow down a bit (thanks to band camp), but hopefully, we should be seeing an official release in the next few weeks :D
Thanks!

or can someone send me pacman lua http://ourl.ca/119860
Shoot, I knew I was forgetting something D:
I'll try to upload a 3.0.2 compatible version soon to the Pacman thread. :)
EDIT: Done. :)
