Gaming Discussion / Calculator Dota Alliance - Interest Thread
« on: January 21, 2014, 05:13:25 pm »
So I am one of the many who play the game known as Dota 2 on Steam. It is a MOBA, or a game similar to League of Legends or Smite or the original DotA, which was a mod for Warcraft III.

I want to make a Dota 2 team for people from Omnimaga and Cemetech who also play Dota 2.

Anyone interested?

Also - If you have never played it before, it's a freebie on Steam. Play it, and try it out. It's really fun, but you might want to play with a friend before you play public matches (Friend me on Steam, and I'll teach you. My ID is pimathbrainiac).

EDIT: Steam group for interested people: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/CalcDA

Have you considered changing the ">=" and "<=" to ">" and "<"

Just using a plain English to Java translation often times works to solve problems I have.

If that doesn't work, check the parenthesizes on the return. You might not have put enough where you want them.

Well, long live Omninet!

What?

I don't want to be a party-pooper, but I think we should keep the link to EFnet for the following reasons:

1: Everyone knows EFnet.
2: EFnet is very n00b-friendly. It has a built-in webchat on its website.
3: EFnet is one of the easiest places for someone to stumble upon our channel (although this is unlikely, it has happened before).
4: People stumbling upon channel = new members = more projects and stuff

There could be a network problem, the ICAP service may be misconfigured, or the ICAP server may have reported an error.

I see Kaspersky. Perhaps you should disable it for the duration of the download. Why? Kaspersky's a piece of crap.

It's soooooooooo bad down south. We have stuff that looks like black ice, but it's just water!

Yeah about 2 years ago we actually had a storm that generated black ice. School was out for the week because there are only a few salt trucks and snow plows in metro Atlanta. The roads are bad because no one knows how to drive on the slippery stuff. That's about it down here.

Good job! I love it!

Also: I like the music. It's my favorite Gershwin piece (although that was not my favorite recording of it :P)

Nice.

Question: Do collaborators have to use a tracker to do their music stuffs?

* pimathbrainiac wants to be a collaborator.

Update (on progress):
I actually decided to scrap the Psm library considering it's copyright and I can't use it, lol. And the Opengl library I'm using is way better. For instance 3D tilting and banking of ships. But here's the wack, they are all 2D sprites. So it's like one of those paper games that has a 3D like environment and 2D sprites/characters/models.

Then don't use that function, unless you are really good at blender :P
